Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Listen and learn. Quite obvious that the Woolwich interest was more than a day away from happening.

Listen and learn from who here? That cunt Dharmesh? Who is an absolute spoofing hack of the highest order from Sky Sports News, who was dodging questions and comments left right and centre here. All he does here is spout condescending nonsense to Sacks about not understanding how transfers work. Frankly I don’t know how he’s even on a Spurs podcast. He literally a professional WUM for Sky.

You will learn nothing from that prick.

Of course Woolwich’s have been interested in Eze for some time. But the salient point is they did not come back into the picture until Havertz got an injury. We have had a free run at Eze for essentially the last 2 weeks and we failed to get it done, inexplicably.
We shouldn’t have allowed it to get to the point where Woolwich were even allowed back in the conversation.

A serious club would have just paid the release clause the minute we got the news or how bad Maddison’s injury was.

I agree. The deal has a strange look about it in that it appears Crystal Palace was delaying on behalf of Woolwich. They don't appear to have gained a lot beyond what they could have gotten by closing the deal earlier with Spurs. So, what happened? It could be the money was similar but the terms of payment were better with Woolwich paying more up front. Perhaps Levy kept trying to gain small advantages and lost the deal over insignificant amounts of money. The matter of not selling so Eze could play one more game doesn't seem plausible except as a delaying tactic. That suggests to me that given a choice between executing a deal with Levy or some other owner they are not going to trade with Spurs.
They'd rather trade with a club that harboured a rapist than trade with Levy...says it all....🤷‍♂️

Sorry to piss on your fire:

'Although initially a loan, Tottenham had an option to purchase Tel permanently at the end of the season. This option was reportedly set at €55 million and could have increased to €60 million with add-ons. Tottenham ultimately exercised the option and signed Tel permanently for £30 million.'

There was a big loan fee though, in total we gave Bayern almost £40m in fees.

Think people are missing the point in regards to Gibbs White and now Eze. Ultimately it matters fuck all about who did the dirty or who fucked up. Bottom line is we have 2 kids as our left wingers and no fit number 10 this side of Christmas. We're down 46 g/a with no Son and Maddison and there are 11 days of the window left. That is incompetence on our side, no one else is to blame.

mate just give it up... Man City don't rest Rodri against Burnley, Woolwich don't rest Rice against Burnley, Liverpool don't rest Szoboszlai against Burnley... this is the PL, it's tough and you do not take any team for granted... so yes, I am deadly serious because as you point out, we are not a big club so we have to fight and scrap for the crumbs. You are tying yourself up here.
im tying myself up? youve just compared pal to rice and rodri like they are the same type of players. pal was brought into screen the defence and break up play. thats not fucking needed against burnley is it!! on top of the fact that he’s just played most of the game against psg and had fuck all pre season. perfect game to rest him and play the likes of gray and berg…we won 3 zip. Job done.
