Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Michael bridge on sky sports just Ko’d any chance of Rodger’s.
Firstly, SkySports is complete shite and unless it's reporting on what Ornstein says, don't pay them any credence.

On the flip side, I have no connections with professional football, and I can confidently tell you that there is/was never a deal to be had for Rogers. It'd probably take them £80m to even discuss it.

The Rodgers links feels like someone somewhere is laughing and saying, “Watch this, let’s get them to fall for it again!”

I bet you Eze did nothing wrong and that he was actually honest with Spurs, as in he told them Woolwich were his No 1 pick - cause they're closer to winning the PL & CL - but that if Spurs were first to agree a deal with Palace, then he'd happily join us.

His mad love of Woolwich is greatly exaggerated inho. Yes, he was there as a boy, but his whole family is Spurs. I honestly believe he's one of those who is 50% Woolwich 50% Spurs, and that he could see himself play for them or us just the same.

Thing is, Daniel did what Daniel always does, he tried to win the deal and sodomise Steve P, but he's the one who got fucked...again.

I harbor no ill will towards Eze and wishing him to break his leg or something, as I've seen on here...that's friggin weak.
I honestly think Levy's primary mistake was not seeing he was simply being used as leverage by MGW, Eze, and Palace this summer.

MGW and Eze had no real desire to come to Spurs, sure they would have if it were the only way they could up their wages and/or move, but it was really about using Spurs as a lever to get more money from their desired club.

Palace had no real interest in selling to Spurs, Parrish is closer with the goons and they're hoping to do business on a CB to replace Guehi. Sure, they would have sold to us if given no alternative, but really they just used us as a lever to get more money from woolwich. The negotiations drug out so long because they kept moving the goalposts and back channeling with the goons, same with Eze's negotiations.

And to me thats the worst thing about the saga. Levy didn’t lose this time because he was cheap - he lost because he got played by 3 different parties that had no real interest in doing business with him but used the threat of dealing with him to achieve their individual goals at his/our expense. It's worse than missing out by being cheap.

The idea that Villa would sell their best player to us, a week into the season is honestly one of the most ridiculous links of the any transfer window ever, and that is saying something.

He's not only better but at a bigger/currently better team who are directly competing for 5th for us.

For Villa to sell us arguably their star footballer this late in the window it would need to be some monstrous bid, and for Rogers to want to make that switch it would have to be a monstrously good wage package .. aka we can fucking forget that shit right now.
Nothing arguable about it. He's the best footballer they've had in years and years.

Absolutely never happening and anyone thinks otherwise needs develop critical thought.

They play levy
Levy plays us

It would take at least £100m and even then, I am not sure Villa would sell for any price right now. There is a 0% chance we sign him.

I keep hearing people say "upwards of £80m..." but Villa would be mad to sell him for anything but an absurd fee (like £120m upwards). Villa don't want to sell him, they don't need the money for PSR anymore and he got 27 goal contributions last year as an English 23 year old.

Conducting our business so transparently and carelessly in public might actually be more upsetting to me than actually missing out on targets over and over again.

We look so fucking small-time and indecisive, because we are. Player transfers have to pass through bureaucratic consensus-building committees, just for Levy to say "boy, that's a tough one, I'll try my best but it sure is a lot of money. We've got these construction projects to manage, I don't know if I'll have time to spare."

But an incredible ball carrier .. like one of the best in the world at the moment and that isn't really an exaggeration, he's awesome at it.

Might not be what we need though with Kudus already in the team, probably do need that intricate little passer who finds spaces.

That’s what I’m saying.

Our MF can’t pass

Bergvall isn’t a carrier like Rogers (yet) but with him, Sarr and Kudus, we can dribble the ball up the pitch enough. We need someone who can pass.
