Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Why? cos im not melting down on a football forum - it is interesting that I am the one who you would say this too and not the folk that come on here and obsess over twitter posts from random people, news reports that are designed to get a rise out of you, and that like to vent on here by calling levy a bald cunt 6 times a day.

That's the strategy - did I say I liked it? That's what I wanted the strategy to be?

What do you think the transfer strategy is - take your emotion out of it, try, if possible, to look at it objectively for just a second, I promise no one will judge you, and tell me.

Wrong’un.

And yes I accept that our bench is weak but it was still a good performance overall and no way a capitulation!

Agreed.

A prime example of needing that crucial goal, and how you don't get what your overall performance merits.

The Europa final was the near opposite. We barely did enough to win, whereas United could say they were slightly unlucky to lose.

Compare that to the countless times we should have won in major finals but didn't.

Small margins, huge outcomes, and them scripts that mostly dsmiss the evidence.

How I feel today

Positives
Thomas Frank joined the club
Romero and Spence signed new contracts
We signed Kudus, Danso, Tel, Takai, Vuskovic and Palhinha

Negatives
We didn't sign Eze or Gibbs-White

Players
We've sold Keeley, Hojbjerg and Son, while Gil and Solomon remain. Doubts over Bissouma linger

Future
Dragusin, Kulusevski and Maddison are all out until at least September, or longer, meaning the manager probably has a decision to make

The sad part is that after having agreed terms for Eze and not got him. Having a here we go for MGW and not getting him.
The club will now leak nothing about business for the rest of the window.

Whoever we bring in will be kept silent until it is virtually happening.
But no one is really hyped for the suspense. Whoever it is represents failure in the window and won't be as good as either MGW or Eze. Levy would have to become the goose laying that golden egg and somehow getting Rodrygo for this statement to not be true.

Fuck Levy. Just once act like a chairman of a big club and not a cheap imitation of Brady and Sullivan.

I’d like to say hypothetically speaking, but with spurs it’s probably a reality.

Would people prefer:
  1. We sign players that don’t fit the squad/ aren’t good enough, not talking about young punts, or;
  2. We don’t sign anyone.

I’m at the stage where I genuinely don’t know. We seem to be quite good at doing option 1, and are subsequently unable to move them on.
2 never buy players that don't fit the squad.

You end up with a broken disjointed team.
