The sad part is that after having agreed terms for Eze and not got him. Having a here we go for MGW and not getting him.
The club will now leak nothing about business for the rest of the window.

Whoever we bring in will be kept silent until it is virtually happening.
But no one is really hyped for the suspense. Whoever it is represents failure in the window and won't be as good as either MGW or Eze. Levy would have to become the goose laying that golden egg and somehow getting Rodrygo for this statement to not be true.

Fuck Levy. Just once act like a chairman of a big club and not a cheap imitation of Brady and Sullivan.

Leak something, announce something - fine with me.

Well, the last few years it has been to buy younger players with a mind for the future along with some more established players who, whilst certainly not elite, were meant to be able to provide Premier League level quality and hopefully make the step up to the next level.
Okay I’m sorry, this answer has convinced me beyond any reasonable doubt that you are indeed Daniel Levy.

Yup. Imagine the leaks will be tight now for the remainder of the window which means all fans are in the dark to if we are even trying to sign anyone.

Hopefully we just get a quick here we go out of nowhere next week. I'm hoping the club are looking at Paqueta and Ndiaye but keeping the noise down. Wishful thinking. Lange probably wants to travel home again this weekend!

In all seriousness though, it's been widely reported by all the mainstream media that we insisted on shoehorning Richi in to the deal at the last minute rather than pay the full fee.

Which would have been sheer insanity, given that we would then have had one, non-scoring striker.

This window has been embarrassing whatever its final outcome.

It can't be repeated, which is less about expenditure but how we seek and recruit players.

The whole perception of the club is not as it should be. I fear tomorrow may cement that, unless Frank and the players have managed to block it all out. Some of the twats on here will relish the chance to kick us if it happens, which is just as galling.

Positives
Thomas Frank joined the club
Romero and Spence signed new contracts
We signed Kudus, Danso, Tel, Takai, Vuskovic and Palhinha

Negatives
We didn't sign Eze or Gibbs-White

Players
We've sold Keeley, Hojbjerg and Son, while Gil and Solomon remain. Doubts over Bissouma linger

Future
Dragusin, Kulusevski and Maddison are all out until at least September, or longer, meaning the manager probably has a decision to make
Xmas and beyond

The endless overhyping anyone from our academy and our prospects is part of the problem.

Maybe for someone who only dreams of hundreds of millions of money spent.

For me having our own system youth coming through is much bigger success than just splashing half a billion on players that are already stars.

I don't really get what the 45 mil spent on Tel gives us when same gametime could have been given to Donley and Scarlett for example, even if Moore would need to toughen up still.

But again, I seem to be the weirdo who is into football and players and stories, not mainly obsessed about amount of money spent.
