Left wing is 100% more important to fill than number 10, although both are really key.

Even when we thought we were signing Eze, I wanted Savinho more.

If we sign Savinho and then say a Paz or that french guy, we will be looking in good shape.
So why did we bother buying Odebert and Tel?

Not you personally! But we have 2 that can play left wing and no one in the centre at 10

Odobert is a project, so they loan another project, who's a long way behind Tel, and then sign him permanently after the worst loan performance I can ever recall.

Just because we have them, doesn't mean they're good enough. Our recruitment is dross. It's this buy 3 projects on tiny wages in the hope they become £100m players, instead of signing said £100m player and give them decent wages. We're stuck in a cycle of mediocrity.

The problem with missing out on Eze was giving Woolwich the chance to re-enter the bidding

They’ve paid more and they were Eze’s first choice so with that considered there’s no obvious blame

The problem lies with the amount of time after the MGW debacle. It should have been all wrapped up before havertz injury and their renewed interest

We just dither and bumble about. Nothing is done with any decisive intent
I honestly don’t think it mattered. Even if we triggered the release clause they could have also triggered it and it again would have been up to the player. He was going to the Scum regardless and it had nothing to do with the Havertz injury. That’s my opinion. I also think he has chosen poorly in a World Cup year and may end up regretting it

Again just my opinion

Agree it’s a bad sitch. We’re a Kudus injury away from being toothless in attack. At that point we will be forced to play pure low-block counter and long balls. If we play him every game it’s going to happen.

If we were to get an injury to kudus i think we would have to approach every single champions league game like were a minnow (fc qarabag or similar). Diabolical for a club our size.

How is frank supposed to compete on 4 front with what hes got? Il support him all the way its not his fault at all but its beyond delusional to think he can get anywhere meaningful in any cup comp and anywhere near top 6/8 in the pl.

Major last few days of the window. 2 quality players from somewhere required.

Agree, I think we can concede 15+ less than last season but still need to score 55. How?
Thankfully, TF gets paid the big bucks for this!

Keep CFs fit, build their confidence. And you don’t always have to win by four goals…

But…Kudus looks to be good value on the RW; the problem I see at the moment is nothing really comes through the middle and not much from the LW with Maddison out, and Sarr not really having the guile, it’s hard to see much other than whipping crosses in.

This season will be such a different beast to last that I really don’t know how to evaluate the squad tbh. I don’t think we’ll score anywhere near as many as last season but I honestly don’t think we’ll need to.

Why is Tomiyasu still available? Wasn't he actually decent for Woolwich, for a while at least? And turns out he's only 26.

Eriksen is beyond washed, shouldn't even be entertained as a last resort. One of those rare situations where you'd genuinely be better off playing a random kid from academy in his place.
