I’m not worried about missing out on Eze. It was a blow yes. But we could have triggered his release clause on 1 July and he would still want Woolwich. They would simply have to match that.

Plenty of decent 10’s (Lee Kang, El Khouness, Simons, etc.) and LW (Savio, Leao, Lookman, etc.) still available. We have £120m+ available. The thing is that other clubs know we need to do business so we will have to pay a premium / potentially overpay.

Overpaying is not in Levy’s modus operandi so he’s just going to have to suck it up that he’s not the daddy in any deal. My worry is whether he has the capacity for doing so.

Lol, not just 'present', but 'ready to'. Ffs. Our club does so much useless foreplay. Other clubs already got them pregnant. Fucking hell.

It’s fairly easy isn’t it , call them “ Are you interested in selling / loaning out player X?”

“Yes , great what would be looking for him? Can we do a deal ? “

But our decision maker has to over complicate everything & leaks aren’t needed , everyone & their dog knows we desperately need players in

Just thought about the downside of buying Paz, from a Madrid aspect.

They get half of any Nico Paz fee paid, in their clause with Como. So £60m means £30m to Madrid, provided they don’t exercise their buyback clause.

But think about the Savinho deal - that is rumored to be dependent on a Rodrygo sale from City to Madrid, right? If we suddenly hand Madrid £30m for Paz, that puts them in a situation where they don’t have to sell Rodrygo as much and can hold out for more… which puts the Savinho move at risk.

I’m seeing an awkward game of musical chairs playing out here and it’s not likely to work in our favour.
Think you’re right— Madrid are able to pull all the strings here and anything that happens will be because of what they decide to do.

Luckily for us we have that special relationship with them that we can call upon. Everything will be fine now and we can rest easy. Phew!

Paz plays for Fabregas , or at least I think he still manages Como . I’ve never seen him play or heard of him until the other day but something tells me this is a total waste of time and won’t happen , perfect for Levy then

We play West Ham on the 13th of September, the atmosphere from both sets of fans will be depressed and toxic I suspect .i do think West Ham might showus how to make the owner feel uncomfortable though .

Both sets of fans chanting our owners are worse than yours . West Ham will be correct of course but it’s a very low bar

Lol

You realise the club aren't writing that.

Never ceases to amaze the the volume of posts on this forum that complain about the wording in a tweet like it actually means anything or perfectly describes the situation with first hand knowledge.

We will end up buying out of desperation , I’m absolutely livid , the high of Bilbao has almost been tainted with the anger of this window , how can we not buy a player from Forest , I can’t understand why we wait so long to buy Eze when he’s been on our radar for 2 years and then get gazumped . We now have to endure the ‘Willian ‘ type song from the scum for the next 4 years , I’ve always said we’ll end up with Dibling or Leicester player cos that’s Levy’s level , buy from a championship club , relegated club or a club with PSR issues , I honestly feel we are as far away from the scum than we have been since 2004 , no ambition , no plan , rinse and repeat every window . I hope there are some serious protests this season and we hit Levy where it hurts in the concourses . We’ve been told every concert , event goes back into the club , we can’t even compete with Forest and Sunderland in transfer windows now . Total shambles .17th last season and the team is pretty much at the same level - total negligence by Levy .
