Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I'm sure you're right but Data nerds can only evaluate the data where it exists 🤷‍♂️
Absolutely - but any data nerds worth their salt will conclude that you can't really make a fair comparison rather than just ignore the differences in the bases of the data and claim an obviously very flawed conclusion. Hence no data nerds should have looked at this and concluded that Paz was 'better' (he may be, but this data definitely doesn't show that).

Fuck expectations

A lot of very deliberate work goes into managing Spurs fans expectations. We don’t need to manage them ourselves, they will do that for you if you allow it.

But they offered us all an exit clause for that when Levy said we NEED to win the PL and CL. That is the expectation now

Yer I think you've miss interpreted abit here.

Gray, odobert, Tel. All young and all get shit for the price tags they carry!

Paz is good and I want him at spurs. But anybody expecting an eze type impact is foolish. It may well happen but im just guarding people on what to expect from him as a 20 year old coming to the pl.

For those who have been choking and laughing at 70m price so savinho......
Savinho at 70m represents a better deal than paz at 60m pounds.

That is all. I still want the player, dont care how much tbh

Levy is a dinosaur. Stuck in the past where he could pick up good players for cheap. The games moved on. You have to pay good money to get good players. Until he leaves nothing changes. Its sad. Hes holding the club back, but he cant see it.

What’s worse is that Levy has acknowledged the world around him has shifted, but he’s so deluded that he thinks the rest of the world is going to come back to his way of thinking. “Unsustainable.” The only thing that’s unsustainable is him continuing as chairman of this club.

They get shit from morons on the Internet but all are excellent talents that have shown signs of living up to that talent.

It literally takes one, max two good performances for those morons to change their mind about them.

Paz is further ahead in his development than those guys as well. In Serie A last year, he was more consistent than Eze and contributed to more of the game. The PL is tougher physically but the kid is an absolute beast, he’s built for the PL.

And again, forget the fucking transfer fee when deciding your expectations for a player. None of these guys will be on wages anywhere near Eze and Paz could very easily outperform Eze from touchdown

It’ll be Elliot, BEK or no-one most likely. The longest TW ever and we’ve effectively recruited 3 players, one on loan and another a kid from Japan. (Don’t want to hear about Tel and Danso as they were already here, even though they were officially bought this window) . It’s pathetic and shows a total lack of any cohesive strategy, let alone professionalism.

Levy needs to go and the whole recruiting team can follow. Time for new owners who are actually competent at what they do.

The MGW deal still fucks me off bigtime.

He was exactly what we needed and our first 11 would look so much better.

Add Savinho into that and we look really strong top 4 contenders if we can keep everyone fit.

Gutting

Eze, going by all the reports was our original first choice target, dating back to when Ange was still in charge. Then sometime around the time we signed Kudus, reports started coming out that Woolwich wanted him, and he only wanted them, which is when we switched to MGW. Then they went and signed Madueke and they seemed to go cold on Eze, this coincided with Maddison’s injury and we came back into the picture.

Fwiw, I think we should be sounding out MGW’s agent again, might be a non-starter, but with all the chaos at Forest just now, and the weird behaviour of Marinakis around him, I wonder if he might change his mind. Chuck £75m on the table and see if Forest change their stance. If we’re gonna overpay for a #10, which it seems like we have to, we might as well overpay for someone we really wanted, and one who is the most sure fire guarantee to actually work out as a signing.

We won’t though, cause Levy is penny wise and pound foolish, he’d rather spend £55-60m on an Akliouche or Paz - both of whom look talented but may not work at this level/league - than spend an extra £15-20m for someone who is more or less a cast-iron guarantee to work out and would be your number 10 for the next 7-8 years.
Not entirely correct...no enquiry from us during Ange's reign or from any other club according to Parrish , the release clause did it's job.

It was only during close season when the Scum went in hard trying to adjust the repayment requirements (without success) then moving onto other targets that we saw an opportunity to jump in and hijack the move.

Our actions turned out to be pure folly, a complete and utter waste of time, as would be the disastrous possible revisting of the MGW situation....therefore expect us to bid in the not too distant future.

Another rumour in the Italian papers about Roma being after Odobert. I do wonder if taking small loss on him and putting the cash towards overpaying for Savinho is the correct thing to do.

Odobert is skillfull but he just seems to be a bit of a wallflower. I can’t see him ever really stamping his authority on a match the way Kudus has come in and done.
Hey Roma, I'll do youse a special deal...Odobert now for 20 bags, Tel on loan for a year and we cover 60% of his wages but obligation to buy for 30mil next summer.

Grazie! Forza Italia!

Morons........pm your address and I'll send you a mirror

No, it's not.

Having a squad that objectively csn compete is.

There’s two expectations

1. Our expectations of the club and and Chairman. He was very explicit about what those should be.

2. Our expectations of the actual squad he delivers. And the window isn’t shut but most likely the expectation of the squad he’s about to deliver should be somewhere between 4th to 8th. As per usual

Been having a bit of a como binge watch.

People are way over the top about him.

He's the wrong player for us imo.

I don't think he's anything special at all.

Good general ability (and a few stand-out moments), but looks pretty lazy/low intensity to me.

We need more dynamism.

Got a cool name and some fancy him, I suspect.

Anyway, whatever.

Odobert is rated very highly in France.
Hummmm no he's not.

I live in France a few months a year, got loads of French friends and work-related acquaintances who follow football very closely, I myself attend tens of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 matches a season, also know a couple people at L'Equipe.

The vast majority of them see Odobert has an okay kid, good dribbler who can assist and score a couple, doing well with France u20s etc, but none of them see him as the next Dembele/Doue/Bappe/Malouda/Ribery/Pires...they say he's your poor man's Cherki and there's a reason he's at Spurs.

Same story re Tel.
