I was thinking why would Rodgers come here, but he’s not on a big salary at the moment and I don’t think Villa have got space to increase it all that much. He probably feels undervalued there. Think it’s possible. The hard thing is agreeing a fee. If we turned his head with a good offer, maybe he would ask to leave. Long shot but you wouldn’t rule it out completely

Rogers seems so unlikely........

Since January; Villa have lost:

Duran
Bailey
Rashford
Assensio
Ramsey
Coutinho

......With Emre seeming pissed off and a long season in EuropaLg to come.

It's basically the Watkins & Rogers show now.... Without both they're utterly screwed.

Hold on.

Rashford wasn't theirs to lose. Countinho was way past his best. Duran, probably more trouble than he was worth and a stupidly big fee.

Did either Bailey or Ramsey command first team places on a regular basis?

They won't sell Rogers, but it would be a very good signing for us, but possibly not what we need most right now.

I feel like Olmo could be done. Barca still need money. They have options in that position. His agility isn't great. He would be like late Eriksen. Still be a good player but would it make sense - dunno

Way to completely miss the point...... 🙄

That list is still virtually all of the attacking options they had to call upon last season to end up where they did..... They're all gone now.

You're nuts.... A high quality, versatile, prem proven player that can play LW & CAM is exactly what we need!!!

Early days but villa look completely cooked. Also they are squeezed financially.
I would be really really suprised if they get anywhere near 5th this season which is possibly good for us if we can improve ourselves.

There were lots of criticism that Madders should have done more to prevent Leicester’s relegation.
Indeed he should have and he was invisible in a few of the crushing late losses that sent them down. As captain for some of them. Not his finest hour.

But 10 goals and 9 assists in the league that year for a side that scored more than the next 7 teams above them in the table.

El Khannouss got a foothold in the team with a great goal+assist performance in a win against West Ham, and they then proceeded to go on a run of 15 losses in 16 games scoring four goals total as a team with BEK as an ever-present starting CAM.

Go watch his highlight reel. A lot of silky touches, no killer final balls.

Ergo he did HIS part.

Ragging on Madz for their relegation is madness..... Armband or no armband.
