Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Our issue is that we’ve made it painfully obvious that we want Savinho and have shown little to no interest in signing another LW.

City know we want him. They don’t need to sell him. If Lange wasn’t fucking useless we’d have entered this transfer window with a list of 5 Son replacements and got to work from Day 1. Make it public through leaks that we’ve got other targets and turn the screw.

As Flav said yesterday. The players have done their job. The manager has done his job. It’s time for Levy to do his fucking job.

Just put the money down levy for these players.
We are running out of time to keep negotiating for other targets.
You saw what you're manager has done yesterday with that team, so go fucking support him and he might achieve more.
City said last week that Savinho was not for sale for anything less than £65m. One week later we still flapping around bidding 60, 61,62. It's late in the window, not the time to try and save 1m, just offer the 65m and quietly move on if they say no.

I wonder if we’re worried about a hijack of the Savinho deal? Sort of player I can imagine Chelsea being interested in. Maybe we’re dragging it out to ensure no major players are left.

The 10 should be accelerating now, we know Paz, Akliouche, BEK, Paqueta are all being considered - we just need to make a decision and get on with it.

Any Savinho offer won't be bettered. We will hear today ir tomorrow.

Woken up and seen the latest reports and I’m getting that familiar feeling.

I’m now pessimistic.

Savinho yeah it’s not happening. We want to bid 70 and City want 80. We just won’t pay what is required and we’ll fail to bring him in.

We will fail to get a deal agreed for Paz so we end up scraping the barrel for El Khannoush.

Loads of Spurs fans have convinced themselves that taking a punt on a championship player nobody noticed in the PL last season is a good option for a CL team going into a new season with no number 10. It’s mind boggling. Based on YouTube clips which can make any player look good.

It’s amazing what Levy has done to so many of you.

If we sign BEK the club has failed Frank so badly. Lost Maddison to an acl, and the answer is El Khannoush? It’s pathetic. If he was a player we actually wanted we’d have signed him a month ago. He’s clearly last option if we have nobody else to turn to and it’s so fucking annoying how Levy does this every window. But the fans just get happy because it’s a new toy.

You don’t see any other top club doing business this way.

BEK will be another player we are trying to get out on loan in two years as he’s not good enough and we’ll be stuck with as he winds his contract down.

All because we won’t pay up for the proper quality. It’s Levy all over. He won’t pay for quality so it’ll be more cheap punts. Fuck him man, the absolute cretin
Eze…Grealish….Maddison…Wharton….all played in Championship when they were spotted.

If we don't get Sav now, the window is a failure for me.

It’ll be a fucking disaster mate. If we end up with BEK at number 10 for me we’ve completely fucked up the window regardless.

Remember this guy isn’t coming in as a prospect or back up, he’s supposed to be our main man.

Savinho is the Son replacement and it should be the bare minimum we’ve done.

Not wanting to “that guy”, but who are we dropping for a new signing?

Midfield three were superb. Front three create or score.

Defence picks itself.

Long season ahead and we have little depth, but none of today’s eleven deserves to sit out the next match.

And no, I’m not Daniel Levy. Just asking a question, that I probably know the answer to anyway. It’ll be Johnson. As long as his goals are replaced, I’m on board.
Fair question, my man.

Still think we need another FB in case Porro or Djed go down...Udogie is injury-prone and Ben shouldn't really be a LB these days.

A left-footed CB in case Micky's hammies pop again...I love Ben Davies but come on. Romero, Kev, Drag...they all have had their injury troubles.

JP, Rod and Pape is a crazy mid in terms of raw power and aggro, but still feel we need a more creative player, even if it's not a traditional No 10...can't really rely on Madders & Kulu this season, and that's unfair pressure put on young Bergvall's shoulders.

Johnson scores goals and we need that. But the question/issue has always been, if/when that well starts running dry, what else does he bring to the table? I want the kid to stay and contribute, but I wouldn't have him start at LW, no...I'd love to get a left-sided Kudus equivalent ie proper dribbly winger who can score & assist but who also works hard out of possession.

Won't happen now with bare days left til the window slams shut, but signing a new FB, LCB, AM and LW would clearly have improved Frank's options. The man might have found his strongest XI, but our bench is still meh...and what happens if the likes of Odobert or Dom get new injuries.

But best we can hope for knowing Spurs under Daniel? 2 players before the deadline, both underwhelming, one on loan, the other a cheap deal from a pal club.

This moment actually feels like a mini Poch era moment like when we finished 2nd, because there's a (be it very small) foundation to kick on from, the manager has shown he can get the team playing in an organised way especially against better teams and if he's backed we can surely be in the hunt for top 5 BUT if we play it safe we'll end up missing out on CL next year which will squander any momentum we've built.
