The agent could have been worried that the legal action re the confidentiality break was likely, BFG in MGW’s ear at a difficult time etc. we just don’t know, so there isn’t really the grounds to assume it was down to us.
Let's see. I've never watched a full match of Zubi but I've heard, while a good player, might not be what Woolwich need, and certainly can' t touch Partey defensively. He's one of those players whose hype proceeds reality, so it'll be interesting to see the outcome.
There are also covenants to do with the finance on the stadium that have to be adhered to, so FFP isn’t the only consideration.

Agree. I like him, but I hope we don't waste the rest of the window chasing him it it's completely unrealistic.
People see "£300m PSR headroom" and just assume the club has an account with £300m sat in it waiting to be spent.
