Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Yeah, seen it.

If we end up with him I'll get behind it.

He's got ability, but for me speed and dynamism is an issue.

I'd prefer others.

Only just started second season in top tier (discounting sub cameos for madrid) and you gotta picture how his game translates into prem.

For me, I'd prefer Akliouche.

Again, not a disaster if he comes, but I see issues with his game slotting into how we are looking to play.

An intensity that just isn't there.

There's something cumbersome about his game.

Anyway, be surprised if buy anyone else at all tbh.

What? his work rate is fantastic, and he gets stuck in.

It's mad to prefer Akiouche, he won't be anywhere near as good, plus he's playing in a much weaker french league.

Why would Como keep him and lose him for 10 million euros next Summer?

Put in the 70 million euro bid tomorrow and at least Como get 35 million euros.

We must sign Nico Paz.

I don't believe Madrid have control apart from telling the player not to move to us.

If we bid enough that Como want to sell, they get a sell on fee and thats it.

But yeah this deal isn't happening.
Madrid are the most powerful club on the planet on and off the pitch. If they don't want Como to sell to us, they won't.

Not exactly a club you want to piss off. They can kiss goodbye ever getting favourable deals done by them for starters.

Surely they just exercise the clause and buy him back from them at €10m?!

Isn’t that the whole point?

No. The clause for this summer has expired.

They only have a clause to buy him back from Como for 10 million for a certain few weeks of next summer.

However if Como choose to sell Paz, Madrid can't do anything about it. They just receieve a sell on fee.

Not happening.
RM will be in his ear. It's basically a loan deal at como with RM having a small buyback cause next summer

They signed Mastantuono in his position this summer and had to register him as an academy player because they don’t space to register him in the first team squad,

Alonso is in love with Guler as well.

Imo Real would take the money from the sell on clause if it was enough.

People see "£300m PSR headroom" and just assume the club has an account with £300m sat in it waiting to be spent.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but pretty sure you are more au fait with the rights and wrongs, pluses and negatives of PSR than I am, but as I understand it we are 300m in the Black, as long as we don't exceed 105m in the Red over the next 3 years, which I'm fairly sure Enic never would, we could still comfortably afford a Savinho and Paz this window, to back an impressive Thomas Frank, especially with a few loans out and the odd transfer out?

Calling it as I see it.

He may TRY hard and put the effort in, but there is an issue with speed and dynamism in his game that doesn't click with me when thinking of him here in the prem and in this team.

If he comes I'd hope I was wrong tho.

If we do buy another player he has to be on it from the off; can't afford anymore prospects that need work.

A kid only beginning his second season... I dunno... weighing it all up as I see it, I'd prefer akliouche.

More dynamic, more experienced, versatile.

Missing out on Eze and getting Paz could be the next Berahino/Son moment.

Levy needs to put the bid in now.

None of the top clubs in Europe need a number 10, so now is the moment to strike.

Agree and that is why I am so annoyed as it looks like we won't do it. It's because I know what we could achieve with a bit more quality. And Levy will let us all down again, the prick.
It feels like it is all to predictable.

When we got players in early, I though, this good, maybe he has realised a few things. But since MWG went tits, and through no real fault of his own, other than going in exact price of the release clause, it's like he has fallen back into bad habbits and spends far to much time dicking around again.

And it is so frustrating. The stadium, the charity work, the training facilities are all great great things that he has done, but where it matters, getting players in etc, he just constantly f**ks it up.

And if does go tits up, then I don't want no last minute panic buys, loading the squad with mediocre trash that bloats the squad and leads to a ton issues further down the line.

??? If we meet Como's asking price, they will sell and Madrid can't do anything about it.

The only influence Madrid have, is being in his ear telling him he has a future at Madrid, if they decide to do that. But Madrid are stacked in that position.

Como's choice is keep Paz for this season, but then lose him back to Madrid for 10 million next summer. Or sell Paz this summer to us for say 60 million, and pocket half of the fee. Rest goes to Madrid.

But the player has to agree to the move.
Is he for the sake of a year going to blow probably his dream move to Madrid, not likely
