Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I'm sure they have. But apparently it was a loan w/obligation, whereas Woolwich have offered them the amount they want to get it done now.

More dithering and wasting time and the inevitable happens.
Loan with obligation is a way of trying not to have to pay any of the transfer fee until next summer. Seems like Levy is keeping the money he had for MGW/Eze for something else.

They won the Champions League though, and now have won the bloody Club World Cup, while now they're being talked about as outside title contenders.

They amount they've spent; according to your prev. posts should see them locked in as contenders tho.... Not outsiders......

Not that I believe it, but I've heard pundits call us "outsiders" today.

As for Liverpool, they wouldn't have won shit without spending big. They spent big on Allisson and VVD, and THEN reaped the rewards. That side that you mentioned without those 2 players? Yeah, they finished 4th. Back at the time, the media were laughing at them because they would either win or lose 4-3.

You can spin it WHATEVER way you want it, you can't compete without spending massively these times. We have the luxury to spend continuously, unlike clubs like Villa and Newcastle, and yet here we are trying to hijack Palace for El fucking Khannous. It's embarrasing.

Liverpool DIDN'T spend massively...... They smartly built a squad, lucked out on a couple of big sales and injected that money into Allison & VVD. That's not "spin".... That's just more facts.

18/19 - 1 point from EPL title / CL champs
19/20 - EPL winners
20/21 - 17 point gap (outlier)
21/22 - 1 point from EPL title
24/25 - Won league with fuck all trfs.

Regardless; again, I suggest worrying about us rather than the scum's net spend..... It won't get us any nearer or further from the prizes we all ultimately want.

Come on man, it was obviously a really nice moment given our lack of trophies in the past 20 years but beyond that weekend I doubt any of the big clubs cared outside of Man Utd ofcourse. We want to be in a position where we never get to compete for the Europa League because we're in the premier competition above it.
Of course we want to be competing at the top table both in competition and transfers, but I was responding to a statement that the gooners didn’t give a shit about the Europa win, when I know first hand from several gooner colleagues, associates, friends and unfortunately family that they very much do care that we won a trophy and they didn’t!

My son-in-law to be is a raging gooner and there are plenty of banter back and forth between us and he goes very quiet when I mention it. My daughter has told me he’s absolutely seething about it! 😂

We all need to be careful about the terminology we sometimes use to describe matters related to football.

Just not Ange. Or Conte. Or Nuno. Or Jose. Or Poch. Or AVB. Or Redknapp. Or Ramos. Or Jol. Or Hoddle. Or Graham.

Nope, it's Thomas Frank. All contradictions will be resolved in the light of his glorious truth.

I've wanted longevity for a while.... most teams who aren't Chelsea have seen sustained success from having that.

I would have liked nothing more than Ange to have worked out, but he didnt, as most of the others before him that didnt.

As every manager at United hasnt since Fergie.

I guess my main point is that if someone is looking at Woolwich and want to emulate what they are doing, then you need to look at how they have done it with Arteta and it was not to have windows like they are having now in his first or second season.
