Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

May be an unpopular opinion, but I’d rather sign no one else than a big reach at this point. We are STILL trying to shift deadwood on the squad. Please don’t add more.

Sigh. A window that at times had exciting promise, and here we are.

The trickle of comments reveal a painful acceptance.

Like the volcano that has remained dormant for years, there remains the slight chance of an eruption of activity but no longer an expectation.

It seems as though the lack of recordable tremors translate to a quiet season for the volcanologists.

What do you mean you accept our bid

It’s middle of the summer during a beautiful UK heatwave.

No sooner has the Kudus ‘Here We Go’ been digested, out of the blue, a Gibbs-White ‘Here We Go’ quickly follows! What’s happening? Where has this apparent ambition stemmed from?

Further news breaks the next morning. £300m investment has been made - we’re just getting started and Wharton is next. GB News says so, no less!

The possibilities throughout the rest of the summer are endless. Are we back? Could we actually contend?

And then bang. The suns gone. It’s all of a sudden September next week - the £300m has vanished just as quickly as it arrived, although we did get a loan deal done.

Eze, seemed easy, but it was anything but, and Paz seemed plausible, but he passed.

What a weird summer. We’ve had some shockers, but this one is on a whole category by itself!

I sort of agree with you. I can live with our current options at wings, current fullbacks and CBs if there is no one reasonable to buy. Enough with buying just for the sake of buying.

But having no AM is just a sackable offence. Kudus down and we are absolutely fucked vs low blocks that will sit deep, play long and avoid our press. Again, i could live (barely, but still) if we decide that we trust i.e. Donley in that role. But yeah, we loaned him so we dont have even options from youngsters

Anyone below a certain level in these attacking positions is worse than buying no-one.

We have 'numbers'; that's not the problem.
