He's homegrown is he not? So any sale goes into the incoming as pure profit so if they save 75k on wages a week and make 50m as income that brings the % down as whole on both sides.

After looking it was actually last 91% of wage to turn over and they have since lost a couple of players and haven't signed anyone.

Either way the club over spent a lot on wages trying to break into that top 6 and it's not really worked for em hence the pressure
Villa fans saying its about 70% now

Who knows, don't really have an opinion on this lol - just happy that Sarr is proving to be the player that he is now, so far - Sarr was actually one of the players who has been mistreated at this club since he came here as we haven't really had a coaching plan for him up until now.

Not specifically Sarr. We haven’t stuck by a coach long enough to have a coaching plan for anyone.

Sarr definitely got his minutes to develop the last 2 seasons and tbh minutes>plan when it comes to player development

No, he actually started at West Brom, went to Man City, then to Middlesbrough, Villa signed him from there for an undisclosed fee (reportedly £8m plus addons up to £15m) in Jan 2024.*

Any move would not be "pure" profit, but signed for £8-15m and sold for anything over £60m is still a massive profit for their books, no idea if there's a sell-on % to Middlesbrough.

*I only know all of this because I just googled it.

I seriously don't understand why people hang off every word the social media click baiters post.

You do all realise that ITK doesn't mean what you all interpret it.

Fair enough genuinely thought he was a villa lad.

As you say even if they have paid the 15m by now if they sell him for 60m that's a tidy profit for em still

Stuck by the last gaffer for 2 years, that's more than long enough to have a coach plan put in place for our players or lat least our players should have been levelling up over that time, didn't quite come to fruition.

It's who we've hired which has been the problem more than anything - buying Sarr for the likes of Conte, what the fuck is that gonna achieve for example

I'm not convinced with Lookman, Seria A is a very different league.

Lookman isn't fast enough for the PL.
Neither am I. I think that Europa League final hattrick is living too fresh on everyone's memory and the reason he's become overrated. His spells at Everton, Leicester and Fulham were all very unconvincing. He's suited to being the main man at Atlanta but how much can you read into that! Very different to playing in the prem every week where teams will mostly be sitting against us. Is he a huge upgrade on Brennan Johnson who's goal numbers are just as good if even better? I'm not convinced.

Savinho, Semenyo, Ndiaye would all be far better picks but probably all out of reach now. Maybe Lookman is the best of the rest but its so underwhelming!

There's been a lot of talk in the last few days that Isaak was promised a new deal at Newcastle, then Paul Mitchell came in and put a stop to it.
Which could go some way to explaining why Isaak wants out so badly as well as his barely cryptic "promises were broken" tweet.

Also agree regarding location.
England is a tiny country. Little Englanders think Newcastle to London is a long way. The rest of the world have cities/states that are bigger than England.

Oh FFS.

Really? There are countries a lot bigger than England? Wow, who knew!
