Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Wait, what are we doing here? :vicarioconfused:

22 goals in 44 matches last season (last 3 seasons he's hit 20/18 and 22 in all comps) 15 in 31 in Serie A last season and 5 in 7 in the CL - goals against Napoli, Milan, Roma. Real last seasonfor fucking Atalanta - guy turns up in big matches and he's in his peak!

This thread is absolutely cooked man :roflmao:
Him and Kudus would be a real handful. I agree with you, I don't understand our fans' attitude towards him.

Delaney just randomly started getting info about Spurs this summer.

We might seriously be trying to get Simons.

So someone close to the plans is passing on a list and updates.

I wouldn’t have Davis there either to be honest
Yes he has experience
But he hardly plays these days and I wouldn’t be shocked if he left
The premier league is and can be brutal
The mistake every new manager makes. " Reliable , dependable Ben with a wealth of experience" then they find out he's miles off the pace and not good enough for top level opposition and hardly play him and get sacked before they can get rid.
Rinse and repeat.

West Ham mate is totally depressed , took the bait when I said Moyes out grew them . Fierce response of he didn’t outgrow us we got rid of him . As he was saying it I could tell he knew he was about to make a tit of himself . Take my W where I can in this clusterfuck of a window

Because he isn’t a centre half and can’t play left back anymore at this level
Nothing wrong with that, but we as a club have to move on

Agreed, he played against Dowman last season and ran the show.

We have players, but we don't give them a chance.

I've been saying we should forget about chasing these players who will cost us £50M, and integrate Donley into the squad.
His football IQ is as good as anyone we've been linked with. He needs a chance to show what he can do. And that doesn't mean shoving him at LB again.

He was superb against City in the FA Cup last year.
Luca also has ability to. What they lack is first team experience.

It goes back to the saying: need experience to get a job, but no one willing to take a risk to give them experience.
There just seems zero confidence or strategy around the club at the moment. Everything seems panicked and I’d imagine everyone’s more concerned with covering their own ass rather than making things better.

Hopefully if Frank’s leadership and calmness radiates around the club things will get better and we’ll start planning again. Bit it’s a big if.

Savinho, Semenyo and Ndiaye but appreciate that they are unrealistic now and Lookman could be the best of the rest. I prefer him to garnacho for example. I just find him very underwhelming.

Semenyo is fine but out of reach but I'm not having Savinho with his 1 goal for Man City last season and fekin Ndiaye who has 10 in 2 seasons are better options that Lookman, nah you need to lie down 🤣

Thats my preference anyway. I'd rate them as better signings than Lookman. Ndiaye looks unreal any time I watch him play. Savinho huge potential and seems to be Frank's preferred target which is worth a lot.

Appreciate we all have different views.

Serie A isn’t a serious league, multiple players have flopped out the Prem recently to become some of the best in the league there.

Obviously we’re already talking about Lookman, but McTominay is a monster there. Lukaku resurrected his career there, twice, after flopping at two different top 6 sides. Smalling was good for Roma. Loftus-Cheek, Abraham, even Darmian’s another. (Jesus, so much ex Utd). Long story short if you ever flop in the Prem, run to Italy, and you’ll be quality. Cannot believe Douglas Luiz didn’t work out tbh, but current Juve are a mess. If Johnson ever ended up there he’d probably end every season on 30+ goal contributions, and that’s who we’re trying to improve on.

On top of all that, Atalanta players generally perform way worse when they’re not being managed by Gasperini anymore. For me, it’s a big, big pass on Lookman.
