I'm not sure if that's the case. I think he could go.

If he's not playing and unhappy then are they potentially opening the door to having their next Sancho/Garnacho problem? Its almost a certainty that he's going to get little to no minutes with them under Amorim which means he has no chance of being selected for the world cup. For a player who broke onto the scene 2 years ago and was starting for England in euro 2024, thats a very hard reality to accept. He'll push for the move and it could get toxic if he stays

I wouldn’t do it to myself but maybe you are right…

Seems more likely his agent applying pressure to get him on the pitch to me.

Good to know that Simons is the final "we tried" boss to tide us over til the end of the window. Couldn't bear the suspense any longer.

I don’t understand this ‘the club will say ‘we tried’ and thst will be enough to sustain the fans!’

It doesn’t at all, it only serves to infuriate fans even further, trying and failing only makes fans angrier.

The club would see this online and across media there’s no way they think ‘At least people will see we tried and that’s positive!’ There’s no way they think that.

Of course the club could be trying and failing to its hearts content I just don’t believe they think failure will reflect well because they’ve shown effort.

They’re not completely stupid. Not trying would leave a calmer fanbase than the MGW/Eze fiascos

Fans wouldn't be calmer if we were seen to not be trying. In that scenario there is nowhere to hide for bald cunt.

If we appear to be in the mix for top signings but failing gloriously you get the simpletons on here saying things like "it's not like going to the shops for a pint of milk you know". Or bending over backwards to come up with reasons why the likes of Eze or MGW or Simons would never join a poxy club like Spurs.

Tried and tested method under ENIC over 25 years.

The majority of our fanbase have been groomed by ENIC over the last quarter of a century

I would suggest that this is just the kind of shite they'll believe and be placated by
