Now I’m an old man, and my memory is not as good as it was, but regarding most of our recent transfers (over the past few years) they have not really been know until nearly done.
Most of what we hear, like some have said, is just click bait, made up rubbish for hits.
I agree though, Levy and co are absolute wank at transfers, and have 100% left us short to be battling on all fronts.
Luckily the teams that we are realistically challenging for 5-8th are also finding it hard to acquire top targets.
In the current climate we are never going to be challenging the top 4 clubs unfortunately.

This window tbh has been other clubs trying to sabotage us imo. Fuck the lot of them. They've done it to keep us down the pecking order. Obsessed. Gooners have over spent but the heat is well and truly on legohead now. Get one of two we need before window shuts then we should strike in January. Other clubs dont tend to spend so much then imo.
Tbh I'm not sure on paqueta will be a good signing for us.
They are literally telling players they are interested so that they can keep them on hold the whole window. Another example is Chelsea buying Garnacho at a good price - they know they can sell him for 45-50m next summer.
I think there is going to be a big surprise in this transfer window. Everybody believes we are going to fail in all our bids for players we want and get cheap last minute buys on transfer deadline day. I think there will be a surprise and we don’t buy any cheap last minute buys.
