Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I don't see why not. If the squad can be kept fit, they absolutely can win.

The issue is keeping the squad fit, more so that the quality of the players.

I'm sure a couple of signings will come in by next week, hopefully some backup for Porro, VDV and a forward. I suspect Spurs don't need a traditional number 10.

100% we need a so called traditional 10.

The way are playing only takes you so far. We need more quality going forward from midfield and at left wing. It’s a must and if we don’t then you will see soon enough how much of an issue it will be if we don’t get players for those positions.

I’m delighted how we’ve started and how we are performing but let’s not be kidded we have enough quality in forward areas. If we do fix that we can have a brilliant season.

Maddison is out for the season and the transfer window is still open. Any top club would count Maddison as a player out and know he needs replacing. Why are you covering for this incompetence?

We've started well because we have one game a week and a very decent first team. Ange started the last 2 seasons well when he'd one game a week. The real test comes next month when the CL starts and we've a game every 3 days. Thats when our squad will fall short again and its absolutely amazing to me that you can't see this coming.
Well firstly congrats for not reading at all.
I said we need one attacking player to cover for current injuries, but that went over your head.

Yeah we started like a rocket last year didn’t we. Our first 4 games, we drew with to-be-relegated Leicester, beat Everton, then lost to Newcastle and at home to Woolwich. If that’s starting well, really don’t know what you expected.

We look massively better than this time last year, we look coached and with a manager that already looks like he will rotate where appropriate (changed whole of midfield already) rather than flog the players until they break.

Since this time last season we have added Kinsky, Tel, Danso, Palhinha, Kudus to replace Son, Werner, Skipp, Rodon, Forster, Reguillon and Lo Celso
To me with exception of Son leaving, that is a massive improvement, and the biggest improvement of all is Frank and his team compared to Ange and his team, so to say we have gone backwards is well laughable or being disingenuous (your call which you prefer)

As I said one attacking is what we NEED, anything above is just a "would be nice to have", we already have to drop some players from our Champions League squad as it is too bloated as things stand.

For what its worth, I still think we will bring in an attacking player we can all get on board with (be that Simons or similar) and probably loan an experienced player in to bolster numbers.
