Before Bale re-signed for us, I booked a round of Golf at a Local Golf course with him as one of the players and Steve Hitchen etc , someone working at the Course saw it come through and then leaked it to the press , think it made it onto Talk Sport! :franklol:

The good news is, that day the golf course was fully booked after the leak, so I done my bit for the local businesses!!! :levyeyes:
 
The media are just loving this. Its almost like a plan. Matt Law, Jacobs, Romano are loving it. Spend the morning hyping up spurs knowing full well the player wants chelsea. They want the outrage later on. "spurs hijacked again" what a story.
 
would be an incredible signing but the Chelsea hijack always sits in the background so until he is holding up the shirt not getting carried away.

Sorry I had to go all Michael Owen for a moment, but those people crying over the possibility that we might be able to sign him because Chelsea might not firm up their move seemed to need a big dose of the bloody obvious.

Not quite sure what these people want, we only try and sign players that Chelsea or Woolwich have offered contracts to from now on so that we can be sure they chose us over them? Only sign players that have Tottenham 'Til I Die tattooed on their scrotum? Maybe go full Bilbao and only sign players born in N17???
 
I know we're all waiting and expecting this to fall flat on its face but its a massive moment in the transfer window for us.

If we can get this done its a huge boost for top 5 and without it were likely 3 places further down the table.

We should be pushing all our chips in on Akliouche in my opinion. That deal will take time, and we haven’t got it. When Simons goes Chelsea we will look like utter fools.

And look, if we are advancing on other players in the background then fair play. Simons is the best 10 on the market and it’s fine to have interest in him. I just have zero confidence that the club is acting rationally this summer, it all seems to be a panic. This is all set up for us to publicly fail yet again.
