I doubt he'll see it that way. He was balls deep into the Chelsea switch from the start, so he knew that we knew an approach at that stage would have been pointless. He will, however, be pissed that the club he expected to come get him dragged their feet and prioritised others.

He's ours, I'm pretty certain of it.
 
He has said that he wants to join Chelsea. He’s a Chelsea fan. Chelsea want him but have been fucking about trying to get their house in order because they’ve got too many players.

Garnacho was a priority because LW cover was more pressing than CAM.

If you were in Simons’ position you’d probably be fucked off that the team you’ve been keen on hasn’t treated you like their priority and either one of two things is happening.

1) He has had enough and is going to join us to play regular first team football and stick two fingers up at Chelsea for stringing him along

OR

2) He is using negotiations with us to give Chelsea a kick up the arse and as leverage to get a better deal.

The biggest issue here is why the fuck we’ve waited until 4 days until the window shuts to do this.
