That bit is absolutely on us but a massive club like us ,holding on to the yes or no of some two bit player.

It's really poor.

The worst thing is that we still need 1 or 2 players to be really competitive, which we habe close to zero chance of getting.

I doubt he'll see it that way. He was balls deep into the Chelsea switch from the start, so he knew that we knew an approach at that stage would have been pointless. He will, however, be pissed that the club he expected to come get him dragged their feet and prioritised others.
