How about some outgoings as a real treat pre Monday? Looking at you Bryan

I'll hold my hands up if this gets done

Although this kind of signing really should be the norm for a club of our standing and resources

But fair play , hammered Levy non stop and it looks like he's pulled one out of the bag
One thing to consider here. We're told time and time again that it can take months for these contracts to be put together and negotiated before a deal is struck. This 'seems' to have been done quickly but, based on the sums involved and the timescale of the deal, I'd say this has been worked on for a while, we've just done it quietly. I would suggest that we've worked on this probably alongside the deals we put together for MGW and Eze. It suggests to me that we actually DID have contingency in there for if/when another deal fell through or the player(s) chose elsewhere.

I have no dog in the fight where Levy is concerned. I don't know the bloke so I neither like nor dislike him, so I don't view what we do through an emotionally charged lens. What seems apparent to me though is that we have a clear plan when it comes to our squad building, and that it is centred around longevity rather than for the immediate term, which is why I've stated previously that I really like our recruitment strategy.

Gotta say though, I think we've pulled off some cracking deals this window. Palhinha is a needle mover for me (can't wait for him to go permanent), Kudus is another who, let's be honest, is everything that we Spurs ever want in our players, and now Simons, who will potentially be that as well.

3.needle.movers in one window? Wasn't that precisely what we wanted before the window opened? It could even be 4 if Savinho gets done. That is an excellent window. Get a RB backup as well, then look at our squad and tell me where we've been left short, another accusation (justifiable previously) levelled at Levy.

One last thought. Look at the euphoria in the fan base currently. We've had 2 great wins so far, and now we're bringing in at least one "elite(?)" player to add to that. The stadium will be buzzing when we play Bournemouth as a result of this, a feeling we likely wouldn't have had we completed all our business weeks ago.

Just think what it'll be like if we do manage to get Savinho over the line.

There was a complaint a few days ago, that Levy had killed off the Europa League buzz with this window. I think he's just reignited it and then some.
