Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Having a difference of opinion on a young and highly rated player. As a comparison, Kane was 22 before he made his mark with us. Forget about the "we didn't pay £40M for Kane tosh, we're talking about the player here, he's only 20.

Kane showed so little for us at that same age, there were a high proportion of fans saying he was destined for a career in the lower leagues.

Fast forward to 2025 and we have another talented youngster being written off in the same way.

Spurs kept faith with Kane because they saw his intelligence and his desire to improve. I understand that Tel shows those same attributes.

I believe this kid is going to make a lot of people eat a lot of humble pie.
Jesus Christ. What have I just read?

We need a striker. If Richarlison or Solanke get injured, need I spell it out.

Hjojlund on loan woupd be fine. Better than United have seen.

There arent special strikers, which should be patently obvious.
Funnily enough, I don't think Hoijland is a bad shout. Whenever I've watched him play for Utd, I see a hard working striker who was set up to fail so much, it destroyed his self belief. He was basically starved of service and allowed to run around like a headless chicken as near to his own box as theirs. On those rare occasions he actually got fed up front, he was totally isolated and left with no choice but to try to beat 2-3 defenders.

How often did we see him get the opportunity at a clear cut chance?

Now put him in a Frank team, where he'd get regular service from both wings, with a midfield in full support and, with Xavi now in the 10, either threading the ball through to him or cutting it back to him?

He has a work rate to rival either of our strikers and, when in full flow and fully confident, will make run after run in behind.

Thinking about it, I'd be quite optimistic if we got a loan with option on Hoijland. If we managed to get him playing to his potential, we could have a monster striker.
