We were obviously keeping the Solanke news out of the public domain, and Frank was telling fibs when he said he’d be back after the international break.

I did say when I heard that news that it sounded like an operation. If you have an ankle injury all through preseason which won’t clear up, it’s pretty obvious you’ll need surgery.

Also might indicate that Richarlison isn’t necessarily Franks first choice. It’s just Solanke hasn’t been fit

Not even sure why we are considering waiting around for Solanke when his main contribution so far has been 'working hard' and 'running around a lot'. Guy had the season of his life before we signed him, but he did it scoring goals that could easily have not gone in on another day.

Not the level we need.
 
Think we need to sack off the defence, hope Dragusin is back sooner than expected and concentrate on a LW and CF. How the fuck you can end up having Kulu, Maddison and Solanke out for months is either bad luck or something more systemic.

I just dont want us to end up with a couple of space filling plodders who clog up the squad for years to come. If they have to bring forward targets and budgets allocated for other windows then so be it.
 
Solanke and maddison injuries have done our homegrown numbers no favours.

We might have to prioritise signing an English player today. Maybe we dropped the ball not going for Grealish
 
With no press conference until Spammers game we will not know Solanke’s injury position for some time. We really do not know when either Kula or Dragusin are back,just vague comments which are meaningless.
