Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Think this opens things up for us re: RKM

We've known all summer that Solanke and Richarlison aren't good enough up top.

Do we just persist with them in hope so that we don't have to admit that we blew £125mill on utter mediocrity.

Richarlison is like Lamela.

Do like muani, pace, power and athleticism.

Record at juve doesn't look toooo bad considering how pragmatic they have been in his time there.

What price we talking?

Edit, how the hell is openda 40m euros?

You have to admire Palace, Brighton, Brentford and Bournemouth recruitment, how we can’t source players they turn up beggars belief.
Guehi is probably heading to LiVARpool and they are eyeing Disasi to replace him so Levy get in and get him!

We can source such players. We do.

Then you have a variety of factors thst may prevent many from being the players they become at so-called lesser teams.

That's why our policy is mostly right, but needs to be even better at getting in the right talent, when still relatively unknown.

It's a balancing act.

Why did Liverpool not get Isak years ago for example?

If Solanke is out for a prolonged period , with us also losing Maddison for the season , if the window finishes now I'm only giving us a 5 out of 10 , squad will be in a horrible place, and as soon as we start the CL games we are fucked!!!!

Richarlison is like Lamela.

And this IS the best point made.

Solanke and Richarlison, odd moment apart, are NOT good enough.. Absolute fact, and many have said this for a long time.

And yet..... really stupid.

Solanke - Spurs will pay an initial £55m with £10m in add-ons.
Richarlison - an initial £50m with a further £10m in add-ons.

I doubt very highly we've met the add-on clauses etc. somehow.

The chances of Richy breaking down are very high , no excuses not to act .
I would go further than that, even if we had Richie as our backup Striker it would be niglient by the club, having him as out main option with Solanke injured is actually suicidal!
It is just a matter of time before he joins Solanke in the sick room, also side note but there seems to be a hell of a lot of injuries in the PL so far and we are only in GW3!!!!

Solanke news is a killer, however, there’s no way Frank and the transfer crew weren’t aware of the potential layoff some time before it leaked. For those that feel Solanke is overrated, this injury gives us an opportunity to look at an alternative, because if he had been fit, there’s no way we would be looking. Depending on the injury, we could enter the second half of the season with Kulu, Solanke, and Drag coming back, having strengthened over this period. Would rather have this injury now, than two weeks time
