Presumably this also screws us with lookman? Giving 3-4 year contracts to 2 x soon to be 28 year old means an outlay that wont be recovered at all.
They just need to bite the bullet and cough up for long term replacements.

If Solanke is out, RKM on loan with option to buy is the best solution you can find at this point of the window.
Then like you said, he takes Solanke’s CL squad place and we keep Telbert.
The fact that he’d never had an injury before us just makes it so hard to fathom.

We don’t exist in a vacuum and the business the other top clubs have done makes us look an unserious and unambitious club. Palinha loan and just two first team signings is awful.
It’s the bare minimum that we signed a right winger and a number 10.
The club will probably try to make out that Xavi is the Son replacement but he isn’t, he’s Maddison’s.
No left winger and now we need a striker on top plus a CB.
No way can I see us doing three big deals in the next 10 hours. We probably won’t even do 1. Shit show

Whichever way you cut it going into the season without Son, Maddison, Solanke and Kulu (4 of our 5 main attackers from last season) and bringing in only Kudus and Simons would be a dereliction of duty.
