A few years ago we had a designated Sky reporter standing outside our offices. A few hours before the window closed he was saying 'the lights have gone off, cars are leaving and people are locking up' etc because our business was done.

Every now and then they would go back to him for the latest, which was to confirm the lights were still off.

That's the kind of window I expect today.

It’s a cultural thing too. We had so many surgeries that fucked players up - Ledley, Sandro, Wanyama, etc, etc, that the cultural bias at the club is to avoid it if possible.

No fucking way. We have lots of work to do with incomings and outgoings.
