It's baffling that the club can't find moves for Solomon and Gil. Especially Solomon who a) didn't cost us much and b) was excellent on loan for Leeds so clearly has value in his role for certain teams.
And Gil is far too talented a player to not be able to play in the spanish league. Just find him a home ffs
Its quite likely its just an opportunistic buy - we were looking for a 10 and LW and got Simons so although RKM isn't a perfect fit for what we thought we wanted, he ticks lots of boxes hence if we can he gets signed

If we are in the market for a striker then we won't want everyone to know how desperate we are. So play down the Solanke injury - very easy to say that no decision has been made yet and the injections are calming it down.
