Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Who have we done that for?
Ben Davies currently says hello. Dier got a contract extension in summer 2020 when he’d been poor for years by that point. Lloris getting a new deal in 2022, when again he’d shown he was past it and he was gone Jan 24 after watching Vicario take his place. Had to give Lamela away for free in a deal for another bum who we cannot move now. That’s just off the top of my head.

Its quite likely its just an opportunistic buy - we were looking for a 10 and LW and got Simons so although RKM isn't a perfect fit for what we thought we wanted, he ticks lots of boxes hence if we can he gets signed

Not related to Solanke but does derisk that situation

Not opportunistic when we have been trying to sign Muani for two years.

He would be an excellent signing. Revamps our attack alongside Simons and Kudus.

Maybe he has a pair of those comedy glasses, where it looks like he is wide awake
But he is actually asleep 😴

agree - but I meant its opportunistic that Juve have been balking at the fee PSG told them about in January, which means RMK might be available again. But I'm sure we have been watching that situation in background mode all summer to see if Juve pay up or not

Solomon played 39 games for Leeds last season and deals are perfectly capable of being structured so the selling club eats part of the wage. It's better for both players and Club that these two play football which they won't at Tottenham.

Only Spurs could struggle to sell Solomon.

It’s pure profit ffs so you don’t even need to fight for a big fee and the player performed well enough to have clubs interested…

He’s scored champions league goals against Real Madrid. Are you seriously telling me not one PL club wants him for 10m?
