As I said in other response - Wissa stats are exactly the same as Solanke. One is excellent and other is "medicore".
Other one has had 1 good season in Bundesliga, never touched the ball.

And this is all that matters to you. Not actual levels (which can be assessed in 1-2-3 years from now).

Even if Solanke's injury is not long term he had multiple layoffs last season and Richy's legs are made of popsicle sticks and gaffer tape, makes sense to have 3 senior strikers on the books when 2 of them are injury prone and we have minimum 50 games this season.

Simons can play LW. He actually played 11 out of 25 matches last season on that position (source: Transfermarkt).

But, of course, I'd rather see us bring in an actual winger. And no panic solutions. Then we have to use what we got.

True or not. He needs competition for his place. What was it? 9 goals last year? Would like to get muani in. Will be interesting to see when the season pans out these knocks and niggles are still there with players. When you're winning, you want to play.

He is an alright as a striker, but thats about it. He doesnt have alot of versatility going for him.
