Them not signing players of note, and actually not signing defenders of quality is everything.

And Guardiola's silence. It's like acceptance that the baton has changed. I would not vecsurprised if he doesn't last this season, let alone the end of his latest 'last' contract.

Strewth, it's not even subtle. It's literally like City's owners have got bored.

So nothing to do with Akanji then.

........Riiiiiiight.

If id had pontificated that we'd have brought in 4 first teamers in this window with one of them being Xavi Simons, most on here would have laughed me off the board....

Now saying that the window being an 8/10 is generous....
With no other context I agree that an 8 would be fair

Factor in the Maddison injury and Son's departure and it falls down to a 7 at best

Don't care what anyone says , Tel , Oderbert and Johnson for the left wing options is devastatingly poor

Probably, possibly ir who knows, but many thought we were done a week to ten days ago.

Some are still waiting to put the boot in once the window closes, because they are mental.

First window for Frank, and not been bad on the face of it, and could have been a bit better.

After the international break, it's time to see how we get on. I think it will be a bumpy ride this season but at least there is now a sense of hope and a modicum of direction.
Don't worry, be happy.

It can't just be bad luck or coincidence... We damage EVERYTHING we touch!

£35?? Pffft, derisory.. they're so small time and cheap..... WE offered double that in Jan!

Just shows you the lure of being Champions!

35 million or nothing. Not sure if we officially offered 70 million but of course since then, FA Cup winners and the Charity shield. I'd say decision vindicated.

I think it's the lure of maybe playing for your boyhood team or team that your dad supported, as well as champions and on a clearly upward trajectory. Just me speculating a little.

We arent the least attractive team out there and it's nkw up to Frank to ensure our appeal gets stronger and stronger.

It amazes me how Every season Levy puils the same stunt and we have hoards of happy claps "Happy about the Window". Other teams finish their business way before window closes. They go after their No1 targets and make sure they get them. With us, it always what bargain we can strike at the end of the window. We have pre season to rake in millions from the east and not to get players ready. We aim for Eze for 2 seasons and dont get him, but we are happy. We got Simons and Muani but it was again on the fly. For once I would like to start a season with 22 worthy players and not rummage through the bargain bin last minute
You miserable sod

Replacing Kane is impossible unless you expect us to get Isak or something and even then... 😵‍💫

The problem with you is that you don't give us any expectations at the start of the window and you always move the goalposts anyway, had we got all these players in you'd still find a way to downplay it as it gives your stinky agenda room to manoeuvre so you can point your fingers at the board.

Sneaky sneaky :sonpoint:

Completely
Undeniably
Notably
True

Well, I would really agree with your post, had it not been for the 'bargain bin' players Xavi & Muani turned out to be class above what we could have....

Xavi was such a dream signing, most didnt seem it as realistic enough to include him in the dream signing
Kolo Muani age wise & form wise, is better than what we have in squad.

So one hand you could hate the process but the end result is we have 4 players who improve our starting XI

Even City & Chelsea and Woolwich are at awe at what champions Liverpool are doing. I would first compare us to us than us to the league winners.
I agree, Muani and Xavi are class above our current starting 11. I don't for one minute dispute that. And I'm greatfull they are joining. I would however have liked us to grab our 1st choice targets early and have Frank have a full run of the season.

Simons really is from the bargain bin. Yep.

None of note. I don't see it.

That lot will do very well to getting even close to the height and levels of their predecessors. There is or I don’t get any sense of aura in the names you reeled off. And Guardiola is a few years older.

Believe as you wish but time will prove one us wrong. And if it's me, like a good Yoda I will say so.

Hummmmmmmmm....

Why? Seems the smart links are Lange. Paratici has lumbered us with Kulusevski, Bentancur, Gil, Udogie, Richarlison, Johnson….even Romero is fucking iffy
Deki and Lolo almost single handedly got us CL under Conte, Udogie is injury prone but quality, Richy is a liability, again, injury plagued but a good player. Johnson offers little other than goals, but he scores a lot of goals. Romero on his day is phenomenal. You could only really label Gil as a flop.

Sometimes I think you just don’t like football or Tottenham. All you ever do is moan.

7 I think would be fair considering Maddison for sure.

An 8 'very, very generous' though - nah - that's just agenda-driven nonsense.
