Every few games Richardson decides it’s going to be that game where, regardless of how many times it doesn’t work, he’s going to play with his back to goal, plant his feet in the ground so the ball fired at him either bounces off him, or the defender pokes it away. When it doesn’t work for the 10th time you’d think he might try something different like collecting the ball on the turn or run in behind.
Not sure he had much choice when the only pass our MF 3 could make was a long ball to him direct.
