Not sure the 'free transfer' label is quite right - rumoured he wants a €15 million signing on fee and his agent wants a €10 million commission, lets call it £20m in round numbers for both.
Salary demands rumoured to be £7.5m or a little under £150k pw are probably par for the course though.
I think he can play centre forward or off either wing and as a 2nd striker - so his versatility will be an attractive asset.
Assuming Werner and Tel are off that leaves us with :
Centre forward - Solanke (and youngster Scarlett)
Left wing - Son (I think he will only play half the games due to age), Moore (will play maybe a third of games) plus Odobert (will play a third of games at LW, same on right)
Right Wing - Johnson plus Odobert (a third of games RW and similar LW)
So David would suit us well. Probably want another winger as well

Transfer market expert Graeme Bailey has confirmed that Tottenham Hotspur are one of several clubs who have made contact over a move for an England international after his club’s relegation from the Premier League.
Free transfers always tend to be hotly contested, particularly if we are talking about a player who is proven at the highest level.
Haha he’s alright to be fair, better than Davies as a squad player but players like this should be enablers to also spending £150M on two top first 11 players like Eze or Rice levels…. Those players never sign#TODAREISTODO
How's that for ambition.
Get your keyboard fingers ready to demand the next coach get fired by Xmas for not turning Walker-Peters into the next Trent.

If Odobert won’t be ready until he’s 24/25 then he never will be. IMO he’s ready now and I’m hoping we’ll see this on Weds night. Now, here in lies the issue.
Fans demand top performances, expecting us to be challenging for titles. Then on the other hand, suggesting a 17 year old Mikey Moore and a 20 year old Odobert play a 3rd of games. These kids won't be good enough for 4 or 5 years.
I am guessing we kept Moore at home because of his age. Yang and Donley might be the blueprint, they go on loan when they are a bit more mature as people ... 19 or 20 years old.If Odobert won’t be ready until he’s 24/25 then he never will be. Moore needs games against men to adjust as he grows. I’d loan him to a Championship team.
His mum forgot to sign his excursion permission slip.I am guessing we kept Moore at home because of his age. Yang and Donley might be the blueprint, they go on loan when they are a bit more mature as people ... 19 or 20 years old.
I also think that 3 at the back suits our attackers and midfield decently as well. Our attacking players would do well in a more direct system which I think 3 at the back could facilitate.I think every single one of our defenders would be more comfortable in a back 3 with wing backs. Our current “full backs” especially, including KWP.
I’m normally a 4 at the back guy but think our current set up doesn’t play to any defenders strengths. Maybe Micky but it certainly doesn’t help his hamstrings.

Moore is good enough technically - but he needs some pace and strength. I think he might be a Foden that stays involved and isn’t loaned, until he’s readyI am guessing we kept Moore at home because of his age. Yep - agree3 at the back would suit us nicely. VdV would be an incredible LCB who can rampage and cause chaos against teams in a low block. I also think Spence, if he learns defensive discipline, could be a very handy RCB in the future as his pace is almost VdV'esque, and he is a formidable 1-on-1 defender. Just a shame Romero wants out as he is the perfect ball playing CB who could sit between the other two CBs and dictate play, and step up into midfield to win the ball with 2 CBs behind him (his role at Atalanta before we signed him).
If we win EL and we bring in new players to improve the squad, Mikey will be further down the pecking order for game time. There were rumblings one or two months ago about Mikey being hesitant about re-negotiating his contract due to lack of minutes and opportunities in the first team.
If Ange stays on I could see him considering a change of scenery.
3. We are in Champions League next yearSo we’ve be got a chance! - 68M release clause but Palace may accept less.

Exclusive: Crystal Palace could accept 'low' Eberechi Eze offer as Man City swoop
Football Insider has learned that Crystal Palace could accept a bid of below Eberechi Eze's release clause this summerwww.footballinsider247.com
I guess we need two things to grab Eze:
1. Neither Chavs nor Arse are in for him
2. We will pay him the 200K in wages that he’ll demand - I'm skeptical on this but c’mon prove me wrong you bald cunt
Brighton are a mid table team. They are always a mid table team with a great business model to be a mid table team.I don't understand the links and discussion of Man City etc in here. We would be better focused on Brentford and Brighton, who ENIC have chosen to model us on and compete with after the Super League fell through.
Rubbish. Now, here in lies the issue.
