Transfers The Summer Transfer Thread 2025

Get rid

Richarlison (poor decision making) , madders (injury prone) Davies (old), Werner (because),

Bissouma, Kulu, bentancur, Dragusin, Tel, Odebert all need a very good season to justify their contracts

Son stays as a special case - probably my heart talking!
Id keep Kulu, hes one of our best players. Add Reguillon.

But agree with the rest. Madders doesnt do enough. Neither does Ricky.

Need to use the Champions League funds and prestige to raise the technical ceiling of the squad this window. 3-4 players with quality on the ball, vision, intelligence etc over the usual physicality we go for every transfer window.

We need reinforcements up and down the pitch. New keeper, and probably 5 or 6 new outfield players. I'd add two "Scott Parker"-profile signings as one defender and one midfielder, and the other 3-4 need to be ambitious signings.

He 100% makes more money for the club than we pay him. The actual issue is, that as long as he's here managers will feel pressured to play him.
It needs to be a very straightforward conversation.

"Sonny, we'd love for you to end your career at Spurs, but it won't be as part of the starting 11. If you're okay being an impact sub, we'd love to have you for as long as you want to be here, but we need major reinforcements up front that will limit your playing time."

And it's not as if there wouldn't be a lot of starts for him as well.

And this isn't strictly a matter of honoring his legacy at the club, I still believe he can contribute massively in a role that limits his wear-and-tear and focuses on the things he still excels at.

But yeah, he shouldn't be the first name on the team sheet anymore, and we need to make sure he will embrace that.

I'd like to think our recruitment team have been busy all day phoning up a number of top players, reminding them we have won EL and will be in CL (with higher wages payable than many other clubs) , based in London etc.

Be good to get players geed up to join us.

Your like to think Paratici is now bang on it. I know he is still currently advisory but your think it’s going to move.

I dont really know who we will sign this summer but judging from Ange's post match interview he wants to add experienced heads to the young squad we do have.

I'd be more focused on outgoings before adding anyone to the current squad.

Sonny - we could get decent money for him from Saudi Arabia and no better time for him to call it quits after 10 years of fantastic service then signing off with a trophy and winners medal round his neck will always be loved but we need to think with our heads and not our hearts on this one.

Reguillon- leaving on a free transfer end of contract

Holjberg - Marseille obligation to buy

Bryan Gil - more than likely will be a decent fee from Villarreal or other half decent la liga side given his form and national team recalls prior to his season ending injury.

Romero - cant fault his performance last night but never been a fan of him & Europa league winner or not La Liga is calling which seems to be a south American footballers pinnacle and if offered a half decent fee as being mooted with Simeone at Athletico Madrid then take it and move on.

Werner - end of loan (thank goodness)

I would also definitely try and complete a deal for Tel to join permanently should be an easy sell now we have champions league football next season i dont think hes had an amazing loan either but he has got so much talent its clear he will reach the very top of the game and is a truly exciting prospect.

We also have Vuskovic finally joining up with the club and he is someone to get very excited about.

Ashley Phillips returning from loan at Stoke city where he has had another solid season of hard graft championship games and experience under his belt will be worth giving him alot of minutes in pre season to assess where hes at.

No certainties in the Transfer Market ...... and its fine lines as to who comes in.

The story of Tottenham's 2024/25 campaign starts with the visit of one of European football's emerging Golden Boys.

It is a little known secret that Spurs' preparations for the 2024-25 campaign started with a visit from Desire Doue.

The young attacker, then of Rennes, was so intrigued by Postecoglou's project that he dashed across the Channel to make an undercover viewing of the club's training ground in Enfield amid optimism that a deal for the young attacker was achievable.

Fast-forward nine months and Doue - who signed for Paris St-Germain - is preparing for a Champions League final.

In retrospect, Spurs' failure to lure the 19-year-old was the sign of what was to come - the start of a series of blows during a truly forgettable domestic season.

It's important to stress that Spurs' inability to land Doue certainly wasn't for the want of trying.

Doue's reputation has soared while Tottenham and Postecoglou, so often this season, have been left wallowing in despair.

We need another romero and vdv in summer. Have 4 of them in squad start of next season a good foundation. Need a top striker as well.
Vuskovic is a LCB
Plus Danso loan deal included obligation to buy
Ashley Phillips also returning from Stoke city
We should be covered for pre season with these defenders getting some minutes

Im a big fan of Rayan Ait Nouri fron Wolves - explosive left back who could share the workload with Udogie on the left hand side of defence
