On what planet is £25 million acceptable for him. We should shut the doors if we keep spending money on young players that have done fuck all. It’s getting embarrassing. Gray,Odobert,Bergvall and Tel if he signs is about £120 million on teenagers in a year!! That’s fucking ludicrous. Yes Bergvall has looked like he can be special but the rest are miles off it. Our recruitment team should be stoned in the street.

A lot of this is scouting, and McAtee would probably be worth more than £25m if he was a Sheffield Utd player (rather than just having been on loan there)
Cucurella has also settled and had a fantastic season after starting for Spain to win a Euros.

The simple maths is we either sign them before they are ready or we don’t sign them at all. I guess you would have been livid at spending 45m on Cole Palmer when he had done fuck all too? Were panning for gold because our owners will never invest their own money.
We are supposed to be looking at more experienced players ... I might make an exception for McAtee though, he is going to be very good.
Going for one, maybe two more younger players doesn't mean that we can't also get in more experience.
And McAtee is a bit experienced himself so if we go young we should definitely go for him.
