People wonder why I'm totally against going the youth route again this summer. Adding more kids to this circus show where there isn't a fucking leader is really going to fucking help. We already have enough talented kids ffs..just be happy with that and sort out our underlying issues.
Bring in experienced players with drive. People continuously slagged off Hojbjerg not knowing how fucking important he was to us. The last of the vocal committed players gone and not replaced.
Now we have a 'leader' group of:
A captain that goes missing and cries and says sorry every 5 minutes.
A player that doesn't even want to play for us and gets randomly 'injured' only to be fit when his national team plays.
A player that is petulant when things go wrong (and doesn't even like the manager).
That's what we are fucking left with. Please please just get fucking experienced players this summer or we will be talking the same bullshit we are talking now.
Mickey is a leader. He’s one of the most vocal in the team. Deki isn’t vocal enough. You realise that when you are at the games. We have a team full of mutes to be honest. Its easily the biggest problem in our squad. Vicario and Kulusevski the only ones who looks like they care when things aren't going well. They'd be the only 2 in our whole squad who I'd say are close to leaders. I'd nearly have Archie Gray next in line and he's an 18 year old only in the door!
Son just looks like he wants to give up every time we are losing, Maddison shows no passion and does his smug celebrations whenever he scores a goal even though we sit 14th in the league, Romero has checked out. Our leadership group could be the worst leadership group in Premier League history.
If anyone watched that interview in full you'd know that he named Maddison and Sonny as our leaders and he literally answered every question the same way with a long pause to think about it but yeah carry on though I guess.![]()
I actually did not watch the whole interview ...but Spence still had to pause to think about whom to mentionIf anyone watched that interview in full you'd know that he named Maddison and Sonny as our leaders and he literally answered every question the same way with a long pause to think about it but yeah carry on though I guess.![]()
This is just another fuck up by an inept coach. Firstly I'm not having a leadership group period. You get players with the most characteristics of leadership. Seniority for starters players that have been through ups and downs and pushed on. Then you get the vocal one or two whose head doesn't drop when things are bad. That's two blokes committed to winning. It's actually more import we buy experienced footballers, ready to make an impact. It'd be nice if we had a squad that had the leaders be players who are unquestioned starters in their positions. Between Sonny's decline, Romero's absenteeism, and Maddison's shadow-banning from the squad, it feels like we've had many games without many real leaders on the actual pitch. So, it does actually seems like a decent question worth asking- who are the real leaders at Spurs?

I too like Gallagher, but deep down I don't think he would ever really want to play for us.I remember when I was calling for Gallagher last Summer and was told he 'wouldn't get into our midfield' Exactly the type of player we needed but![]()

I think we will struggle to attract any player old enough to grow a beard.
Likely to finish 14th, no European football, and likely a new manager. Would you come to Spurs, if you were an experienced International footballer?
Which half decent experienced player would line up to knock on Levy's door this Summer?
Another raft of teenagers should be the last thing Lange is looking at.
Technically, that's 2 half-seasons...
