Transfers The Summer Transfer Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

If Dibling and Delap are our two main transfers we are fucked (yet again).

Both are good players and would help us but yeh we need some elite, especially an elite CM. The club though seem to want low wages. This season we will probably be in the 35% wage to turnover ratio after last summers sales, if Son, Romero and Bentancur go we could be around 30% which is 20-30% below the prem average which would make us totally unique.. As such high transfer low wage youth players become the target.

Or it creates a green field for the Qataris to wank 1 Bn on five players

Dibling is nowhere near the finished product and despite flashes he's not very productive at all (2 goals and 0 assists in 25 games). Brennan Johnson has 14 goals and 3 assists this season and gets slaughtered on here ffs.

Delap contrary to what people on here think is NOT better than Solanke.

Those 2 additions would not improve our first 11 at all so if that's what we are signing then it's going to be another long season.

would probably take at least £60 million which would be their 2nd most expensive signing ever. But even with Romero just have the 2 years to go i'd expect Levy looking closer to 90 million
That doesn't sound right .... But not far off.

Felix &
Julián Álvarez's transfer from Manchester City to Atlético Madrid involved a fee of up to €95 million (£81.5 million), with an initial payment of €75 million (£64.4 million) and potential add-ons

But that seems to be where the club is at, sign "potential " on low wages and see what if anything develops.
If they don't work out they get moved on for a similar fee to purchase, if they are good, they eventually will want to leave for bigger things, with levy extracting big money for them.
Rinse then repeat..

What he was doing at 18 in one of the worst PL sides of all time was pretty special though. Of course at 18 his final product needs polishing, but his bravery and ability to take on players almost singe-handed shows something special.

How was it special? he's 19 and his dribbling past players with zero assists. What exactly is he doing after he goes past the player? Odobert at shitty Burnley got like 4 goals and 3 assists and he was the same age.

He looks like he has potential but we need ready made starters in that position not players that could potentially turn good (and for 45m plus as well ffs).

Like I said before, if we get the experienced players we need then by all means go for him but if we are actually expecting him to play an integral part for us next season I think the season will be a write off again.

Dp ypu understand how bad his team were? Players hiding, not making runs. Morale on the floor. Look beyond the goals and assists. This is an 18-year-old in a terrible team shrugging off grown-ass PL defenders.

Really big fan of Dibbling. His ball retention is close to elite already. That’s been a massive weakness of the team this season. Johnson, Son in particular get brushed off it under pressure, even kulusveski who does the first bit, back to goal stuff pretty well is predictable when he holds onto it too long and gets dispossessed way too often. It’s not all about numbers, as with Solanke we’re a much better team when he’s in it and up to speed. Just gives us a better platform to attack from.

Everyone’s numbers improve when you’re a better team.
