If Romero goes, we’ll need a much better starter than Danso. Not even convinced by him as a squad player tbh. Porro and Udogie do have ability, maybe they would look better under a different manager. Feel Spence has become a bit overrated recently, doesn’t seem to know when to release the ball and when to hang onto it, his physical attributes are good though so will always be a useful option.

Agree about a keeper. Vicario is a liability imo. Not an assured presence at all.

Bentancur for me is still a good footballer, composed on the ball and two footed, getting dragged down by the structure of this team. I’d consider selling Kulusveski if we got a good bid. Very easy to read, one paced and predictable.
I agree on Kulusevski. We almost need Kulusevski and Werner smashed together and only the good parts distilled out.

Which would be Kulusevski with Werner’s pace.

Jesus, we we basically where we were 2 years ago
Well, not quite, we have VDV, Udogie, Spence, Danso, Odobert, Solanke, Kinsky, Sarr, Maddison, Kulusevski as well as Gray, Bergvall ... in addition to Moore, Vuskovic, Donley etc. In fact, we have a pretty decent squad, just need a better manager and 3 or 4 'spine' leaders in their peak years (assuming Son, Bissouma, Romero, Vicario, Richarlison, etc. are not those types of players who are consistently good.)

So not a lot has changed since 2023 then.

Less experience and leaders this time around actually.

Tbh I'd can Danso and solanke in summer if we can get fairly decent bids. Same with vicario. Want big money for romero due to his unprofessionalism towards us. Porro will go I reckon. Release davies ffs. How much longer is he going to hang around. How many managers has he seen come and go.

Yea, sure, Man City will let O'Reilly leave for Spurs and Spurs, right now, is the club O'Reilly wanna join to replace Davies on the bench

I know he's filled in a few games for City at LB but he's an attacking mid :ange-facepalm:

Need to address the issues in the squad first, primarily shifting the below or ending their loan:-

Son
Davies
Richarlison
Reguilon
Bissouma
Werner
Solomon

Then look at the below where it’s hard to judge whether to sell or not until a proper coach comes in and how they perform under them:-

Tel (Make perm or not)
Johnson
Sarr
Dragusin
Vicario
Danso
Romero (Contract dependent)

Then we need look at the spine of our team (CB, DM/CM, ST) and add leaders / ready made quality to our young promising squad and a quality 1v1 winger.

But Levy…

Christ, unbelievably there's roughly one player I'd be sad about selling, Son of course. Additionally, bar maybe one or two MAX, the rest I'd be more than happy to stick on the next flight to Timbuktu!
