Transfers The Summer Transfer Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

For those concerned about losing Spurs players
- Players with contracts ending in 2025 will walk at end of June
- Players with contracts ending in 2026 the club might be able to extend some contracts for an extra year or they are likely to be sold. My sense is that Bentancur and Son are likely be here next season, Bissouma And Gil sold.
- Players with contracts ending in 2027 will probably be in negotiations with Spurs to extend contracts ( Devine, Scarlett, Moore, Keeley, Abbott) with others likely sold if price is right (Romero, Richarlison)
- Where the player contract has more than 2 years left on his contract, Spurs are in control of the situation, player has to stay unless Spurs agree otherwise..

Full list of Player contracts by year in which contracts end :

2025Reguilon Davies Forster, Werner (loan), Robson, Whiteman
2026Bentancur Gil Bissouma, Craig, Son
2027Romero Richarlison Devine , Scarlett, Moore, Keeley, Abbott
2028Porro Maddison Solomon Kulusevski Vicario Phillips, Spence, Ajayi, Akhamrich, Russell-Denny
2029Van de Ven, Veliz, Johnson, Austin, Donley, Gunter, Odobert, Lankshear, Bergvall, Hall, Dorrington, Olusesi
2030Dragusin Vuskovic , Udogie , Sarr, Gray, Solanke, Yang, Danso

This is just creating headlines for clicks by journalists

Spurs have a full squad today.

That means Spurs will sell some players in order to create spaces for new players in squad - lots of clubs do that. It will also raise some cash to put into transfer funds

Spurs have spent circa £150m on transfer fees for last few years - probably will do same again in summer regardless.

Sure, winning EL would give us more cash to spend on transfers, as would Spurs selling a minority stake to new investors where shareholding is created by new shares being issued.

We have fuckloads out on loan too, which if sold will raise quite a bit of money. I suspect quite a few of the HG ones will go, people will moan about it, but we wont regret it. We cant fuck about haggling all summer on players like normal. Ins and outs.

Sell Son (eventhough he's one of the club legends, its time), Bentancur, Bissouma, Richarlison, and Romero. That should give the new manager some room and cash to sign one or two top level players.
So sell 5 players who have played a combined 6578 minutes (6171 not counting Richarlison) this season and sign 1 or 2 players to replace them?

I doubt we sell this lot and no doubt we'll haggle too much, drag it out all summer and run out of time but there a lot of players that could be moved on. We should sell Son but doubt we will or if he'd even want to go. So rough estimates

Bentancur £25m
Bissouma £25m
Richarlison £30m
Romero £55m
Solomon £15m
Gil £5m
Veliz £3m

Already made £3.5m on Marcus Edwards. End of contracts for Davies, Whiteman, Forster Reggie, Werner and Tel. It would free up a lot of space and wages to do something but i have no confidence in us to get things right.

Plenty of players who could be sold to raise money :

Solomon maybe £15m - £20m
Gil maybe £15m - £20m
Bissouma £25m- £30m
Romero £50m ish
Richarlison £40m ? ish

So that could be circa £150m fees in - and try to find 3 much better players to replace the last 3 off that list.

after that it becomes personal choice as to who leaves and who comes in to replace them (where they need replacing)

Last few years we have had very little fees coming in from selling players - this year we do have some decent fees which helps replace reduced prize money from finishing lower in PL.

Oh give it a rest ffs! I am at a loss of so many spurs fans looking for arguments over stupid shit.

Most of that squad came 5th a year ago. And it would be augmented by at least 6 new players (if we lost the speculated 10).

If things are so depressing go and find something else to do rather than being a keyboard warrior. This message board really is a very crap place to be right now. As bad as the club.
Okay so lemme get this right: I disagree with you, you throw your toys out the pram and I'm a negative Nancy, gooner etc.

Gotcha.

Peace out.

Same squad finished 5th the season before but without some good players that were added.

The league performance this season isn't reflective of the quality in the squad.

The squad clearly wasn't good enough to compete in 4 competitions this year but it's a fuck load better than 16th.
I'm not saying we'd still be thundershit, just that we need to manage our expectations. It's gonna take a lot more than just a new manager and some typical Levy signings to jump from 16th to where the 9th richest club in the world should really be.

But you never know, that bald cunt might get lucky and find another miracle worker a la Poch plus some gems like Toby & SuperJan, Dembele, Dele...

Bentancur surely is worth more than Bissouma?!

30mil for Richarlison, I can't see it.

I also think the plan is to sell Richi and replace him with Jonathan David (free).

Sell Bissouma and replace with Cardoso.

Accept good offer for Bentancur and go for Angel Gomes (or trust Devine to step up).

I think the focus and big money signing will be in the wide position and another full back will be signed.

Porro also will be sold if a decent enough offer comes in.

30m for Richarlison 🤣 who is going to pay that other than Saudi and he's already said he's not going there. Be lucky to get 10m for Biss and Betancur is more 15m - 20m. Nobody is paying 30m for him. I would hope to get more than 55m for Romero as he is desperate to leave.

60m euros to get in he room.

They can have him but every single Spurs fan out there knows that somehow he will find a way to stay fit and score shite loads of goals at Everton

Yeah but will be a big fish in a puddle at everton. Us it's different. Must admit though saw him post match v liverpool going towards fans. Didnt shy away and the boldest to come over to us. Fair play. I like his passion and he dont mind mixing it. He wont be here next season though.
