We need serous midfield upgrades, not only in terms of quality but also in number.
We didn't lose 22 games last season, simply because of poot coaching.
If we kept Sarr we have a minimum of 5 CM's for 2 places.
Sell Sarr and we have 4 CM's for 2 places ..... and a spare overseas trained place (currently we have 2 players too many to fit in CL. squad)
If we want another CM, Devine can step up without taking a squad place.
Or we can just, you know, keep an immensely talented player.
Sarr is quality. He needs to start to establish himself a bit more now. Still young so won’t dominate games for a while but he can in the future.
I'd keep Sarr over Bissouma. His athleticism and age mean he has a very high ceiling.
Sarr has lot more qualities which our previous coaching set up didn’t take advantage of.
His whipped crosses are top class - he should be used more & more of a 8 that gets into half spaces and whip the cross like Eriksen or KDB used to.
To maximize Sarr we need a better no6 .
Midfield of Bergvall DouglasLuiz, Sarr would have the legs , bite and the class .

Bissouma is leaving to be replaced by a proper DM, which Sarr is not.
So its the new DM and Bergvall to start.

This kid looks perfect for what we want in a 6. 6’2”, calm on the ball, can spray it around, long legs for nicking the ball away. Sevilla are pretty skint too.

I think this year we start to see it
I’d like to see him be more vocal and show some leadership
A consequence of him playing the 6 last year in Ange’s system which asked him to do far more running in wide open spaces than was comfortable for him. He’ll be good next year in Frank’s/ more compact system hopefully playing with a proper 6 type player..
