Transfers The Summer Transfer Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

So, not a million miles from where we will be

The main issue is that we all have PTMD
(Post-traumatic 'mate' disorder)
where we think we need 5 players for every position so we have at least 4 backup sets of hammies

Apart from John Thomas seeing it as a golden opportunity for an onanistic celebration by representing our whole summer through one linked transfer, I don't see why people would be so bothered about KWP. He's basically a free player in all aspects of the squad - HG, Club-trained, and not a complete knob-jockey that throws parties with hookers like his non-peters counterpark.

More than good enough to rotate and he's only 28.

Few Bournemouth players gone now, what about Semenyo?
How many more can they lose if they seriously want to stay up this season. I think semenyo is off the table, Mbuembo is looking closer to united. So I’m assuming we will make an “attempt” at xavi Simon and then end up with a 4th or 5th option that will be cheaper. Rinse and repeat. Yet still no links to a DM which is mind boggling

Yes it can.

If the other team is in possession and attacking, but he takes the ball away, he's won a defensive duel.
Ok, but I'm amazed that he's won more defensive duals than all defenders and CMs in the whole premier league, you'd think there were plenty of players who had that role as their 'bread & butter' and would have done it 10 times more than any winger / attacking player.

The table is comparing him to other wingers. The headliner is a bit misleading in truth.
Edit: the headliner just states duels, so it's also taking into account his offensive duels.

Aha, yes I see now, thanks. It's shockingly badly headlined by DataMB:

"No Top 7 League player has won more duels than Antoine Semenyo (435) this season"

That's completely false! He's won more duels than other players classified as wingers, very different.

Even so, those stats are impressive, and I certainly wouldn't be against seeing him in a Spurs shirt - his skills combined with a top workrate would be great for us. :)
