Ok so, excuse my ignorance but this exact situation does my nut.

Never played a high level and don’t understand football like a lot on here but is that not repetitive tentative decision making from the CBs? I see 3 easy passes that could have been played to the midfield 2 and all of them were ignored.
To begin with, there's zero intensity, it's as pedestrian as it gets. Where's the sprinting, where's the zip on them passes?

Bent & Pal are hiding, pure & simple. Luckily the ball ain't going to them as their body shape is all wrong, there's fuck all scanning from them...nothing. They just don't want the ball, they're actually terrified of getting it.

Can't really see it with the framing, but the wingers or striker aren't calling for it either. And even if you somehow reached them, what next? The support is miles away.

Only thing that could've happened is for Palhinha to be clever and block Thiago's path, so Micky can go on a run down the left channel. But then what? In all likelihood Djed and/or Odobert would've offered little support, probably been more of a hindrance. And even if Micky got a cross in, Ajer & Collins would've coped with Richy easy. Unless Micky did a United or Copenhagen. That's literally where we're at...we need an individual exploit to dig us out. That's Frankball for you.

I think Anthonee Robertson is a no brainer at left back,28, prem league proven and in his prime as a footballer. Watched him yesterday against Palace, made a mistake for the Palace missed his challenge but overall up and down left side, seems to have terrific engine and fitness levels, Destiny can be back up/challenge. This means Spence can move across to his best position at right back(still remember him playing for Forest in cup against Woolwich and destroying their left side), Porro can be back up/challenge. These two remind me of Walker/Rose and the way they played, defending and attacking in equal effective manner. £30m for Robinson should do it? And if we can’t make our club more attractive than Fulham, then I give up. Midfield-wise I am pinning my colours to the Wharton mast, reminds a bit like Carrick, not quick but reads the game well, never seems to get himself into a “desperate last tackle situation”, passing-wise sees the whole picture, mostly picks the right pass mostly forward, I can see him quietly sitting in midfield directing traffic, no fuss, no hassle. Ok he will cost a kings ransom but for what we are getting, what he offers and for how long he will do it(long contract hopefully) for me another no brainer ,plus we could offer him champions league(we’ll probably 4 games minimum) and playing for a higher profile club(which does matter) in this World Cup years . As for the obviously weak left attacking option, him I am struggling, was in the Semenyo camp but that obviously not happening now, not up with the more learned people on here on who is available, but someone in a similar mould, dynamic, forward thinking, not afraid to take players on. The three players could cost £150-£200m but in my eyes short term pain(cost) for long term gain, where they could help us reach in the next 3-5 years. I make my observation just watching the games, none of the Xg rubbish before anyone starts chucking figures at me.

For info, Santos finished 12th (out of 20) with 15 defeats and 50 goals conceded. They only avoided relegation to Serie B by 4 points.

The kid played 24 league games, 29 in all comps...add to that the 9 games he played the previous season and you get 38 pro games. In Brazil, where they don't defend. Registered 1 goal and 4 assists in the league last season.

Obviously the kid is still young and could develop into a very good player, but 1/ we don't need anymore friggin gambles 2/ nobody in Brazil is talking about him like he's the next big thing...so far more likely to be the new Gilberto than a Roberto Carlos regen.

Yep, it's insane we are targeting another kid to fill a problem position in our squad. We need established signings, not fucking kids.

Lange is a cretin.
