Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

If I was Micky I’d be plotting my way out right now.
I don't blame him

He even admitted his mates were mocking him for choosing to join Spurs because of the lack of silverware and prospects. Thankfully for him and us we won the Europa but apart from that the club is and has been a hot stinking mess

This is why it's so hard to persuade the top players to join Spurs. The perception is and has been for a long time that there is literally no point when you can earn more and have a chance at winning more at other clubs

He is not perfect but he is by far the best player we've signed since Son, Dele and Alderweireld which was over 10 years ago. Let that sink in

Our lack of ambition is why we have lost all of our quality players (Eventually) over the years. I doubt VdV, as the only top, consistent performer in the squad, would want to stay with an average manager and average team-mates, when he's worth over £100m to any top quality side.

Until we act like a big club, we won't get or keep top players.

I think the Lewis have family have shown their ambition . Just sell the bloody club . We should have had deals lined up for January 1st , this myth that you can’t only start negotiating when the window is open , total nonsense , we missed out on a left winger in the summer , there should be someone lined up for the 1st Jan , what the hell have they been doing the last 4/5 months

I dunno why I thought this window would be different.

I thought when we sold Johnson it was all part of a plan. Bless me.

Well, that was a bit silly of you wasn't it. A plan?

I do agree that selling Johnson was because we were close to signing a player or two, who would be ready made to either start or certainly compete strongly for a first team place.

Nobody in the board or elsewhere in the hierarchy seems to know what is going-on, and so nobody below that knows what is going on.

2 losses in our next 2 games will create friction, concern and the dreaded panic buying.

This thing about Arteta, what's really happened is they've got players in to fit him, but if he left and they got another manager in with similar tactics the players would likely fit with that guy.

So IMO it's not that we need to stick with a manager, rather we need to stick with a method of playing the game, it should be set out by the DOF, and when a new manager is sought he has a similar style to the last guy.

We don't have an identity and keep chopping and changing direction.

City second and already lining up two top quality signings.

Meanwhile an injury ravaged Spurs

Of course he has finally say, but if it’s a player or nobody 99% of managers are taking a player.
Blaming Frank for transfers is like howling at the moon or shouting at clouds.

Like last season, I blamed Ange for a a lot of our troubles and he was rightly sacked but the one thing I never blamed him for was our transfers, because just like every Spurs manager under ENIC before him there wasn't a real choice on offer. This player or no player.

There's plenty to blame Frank for, blaming him for the things he isn't responsible for is just silly and letting the real culprits off the hook.... Again

This is exactly it

It’s not hard to read between the lines and come to the conclusion that key aspects of the club are even more fractured than ever before.

- DOF out then in
- Manager selected by leadership, clearly awful but they are trying to save face and hope he comes good
- Second DOF
- continued mess of politics, arse covering and unaccountable execs blaming each other

Agree

It’s clear the identity that Franks looking for and we should back him with signings to achieve that. Lukaku, Nzonzi and Rory Delap - and crouch

Ange specifically said he did not want anyone at the club that did not want to be at Spurs. He rang up and spoke to players before we signed them with his approval.
If Frank has not done the same then that is yet another reason to doubt his ability to manage a major club.
Frank gave approval to all the signings we made since he arrived. He is looking for excuses.

That's not the same as player identification and choosing. He would have had a veto but that's different. It is absolutely different.

But if you insist then he was an idiot for identifying Werner twice.

I dont think Werner was Anges fault at all, but you do clearly.

Starting to get the feeling that the club has totally written off this season. They've calculated we will have enough to stay up and are planning for next summer where they can evaluate where we are at with the Kulu, Solanke and Madders. The development of the young players. Muani felt like a short term stop gap.

Its a shit state of affairs and proves they have zero ambition but I suspect its whats happening.
