We're in desperate need of an eye candy injection since Daniel left
You rarely pay for a player up front, for example a £100 million player might be £20 million over 5 years, so £100 million up front with whatever else we would normally spend could actually be quite significant
I can’t see them selling him full stop if they want to hang onto Glasner.
If Kulu is looking 100% by Jan then I'd also look to offload Johnson. Surely a bottom 3 club would take a punt on him at that point in the season?
A "punt"?
Johnson scored 18 goals last season and was involved in 1 in 3 of Spurs goals.
Sure, he's not a winger who dribble past anyone and whip dangerous crosses into the box, but he's a capable 2nd striker who will score a shed load of goals and, will get back and defend when he needs to.
Frank seems to prefer taking time to get the ball up the pitch, aiming to win set pieces - then crowding the box - which of course doesn't suit Johnson at all (or Xavi, Odobert, Tel, Solanke). He's far more likely to request the club to sign Chris Wood.

Wouldn't wages be separate though? If not then yeah £100 million ain't doing much .....Doesn't escape the fact that 100m amounts to little more than 1 x 50m player on a 200kpw 5 year deal
(.........Nor that a mere 100m doesn't touch the sides in term of the debt we've already accumulated in player installments).
It won't move the needle............
Just look how much money Chavs & City had to burn through to elevate themselves.... And that was during a time where Arse were on the downslide and Liverpool were in the muck.... And mostly in a pre-petrodoped economy.
It's naive to think elite players don't have other potentially more attractive (and richer) options.
Though I suspect it's likely just a case of you ignoring reality to suit.

I’d rather get injections on the NHS , they are free.
Great so we should have plenty of clubs knocking down the door then to give us 50m in that caseA "punt"?

100m cash injection is very significant not sure why you are playing it down. Not unless someone from the club has specifically stated that this so-called injection is to exclusively be spent on trf fees.
It ain't doing much either way.

it's the rough equivalent of reaching the CL SF.
The obvious one is Tel or Odobert loaned out and a LW upgrade brought in.

Yes but that won't happen until we move Davies on in the summer.
He's a big part of the reason we have a boring, average squad right now. "Plenty" of good players..?Let's not act like he hasn't signed plenty of good players for us.
