Really shocked how many people are fooling themselves that Poch will somehow make everything better.

Is he also bringing back prime Kane, Dele, Dembele, Son and Eriksen?

Look what has happened to this club since Poch left

He is not flawless, he will frustrate at times just like he did when he was here the first time, but what he will do is bring a calmness, direction, he will improve a lot of players and more importantly he will build a team from what we currently have plus a few smart additions.

Remember what this club was before he came in 2014. The squad was a mess, fans angry, Sherwood had taken over from AVB and our football was all over the place. We had no identity, we were a laughing stock.

Sound familiar????

Even if he comes in and creates a team that has us in the top 5 over consecutive seasons it will be a huge success compared to where we are now. He knows the club, he knows the fans, he will lift the club up again, maybe not to challenging for the title, but we will be pushing the top 4. I don't think there is anyone else who can do this. The crisis we are in now is the same as back on 2014. That's the key, don't compare the players and team he created that was challenging for the title, that took time to mould and put together. Compare us now to what he inherited back then.

Yep yep i get it.

It's not a slight against Poch. But i just think everything clicked during his time here.

Right man at the right time for the right club

People who want Poch back are hoping to catch lightning in a bottle twice

Need parcel paper and a saved for Pochettino label for a few of this lads its obvious we are going for lightning strike part two. Think the plan is bore every neighsayer into submission with a season of Haram ball under Frank dump as soon as season ends get agreement with Pochettino. Get in a Mason or even Davis to start the murder runs to get Pochettino ready. America out in quaters. Tactics for two weeks then we go.

Moore , Gallagher, Sarr, Xavi, Lankshear, Bergvall, williams-Barntt Hall, Vuskovic . Hopefully a few proper big guns added from the actual top shelf .

Mason Melia will be Kane 2.0 for Poch :pochohshit:

Fair enough but I don't think most of the fanbase would be happy with letting vdv go at all so the point is pretty redundant

From where I'm sitting both our cbs are overrated. Both are elite at certain eye-catching things (vdv and his pace/running, romero with his passing and aggression) but both are either average or worse at defending in the box. Hence why, despite these 2 supposedly excellent centre backs, 2 sixes in front and a defense first coward of a manager under whom we barely have any shots, we still concede loads of goals

In vdvs case there is a history of hamstring problems and we also have a highly rated young lad waiting to come in the summer. If we can get big money and reinvest in a real quality left winger / cdm we'd improve a lot imo
I think our best way to go forward is do everything to keep Micky. I’m a massive fan of what he brings to us and it’s incredible that he’s one of the few players that gets me off my seat. I think him and Vuskovic could be ridiculous or even go a three with Romero if he gets his shit in order. We need to keep our best players and build around them and the two centre backs are two of our best no matter what anyone says. Get rid of Davies,Spence,Udogie,Biss,Richarlison and replace them with better players. They are out there as the Gallagher signing for 40 million euros shows. It’s not crazy money but we are getting an upgrade, experience and a homegrown player who knows the league.

Firstly we need to get rid of Frank. He’s making players worse. Until that happens it does not matter who we sign, keep or sell.

We've tried pretty much everything since.
Big names (Conte, Jose), Steady Eddies (Nuno, Frank), Wildcards (Ange).

It has all failed. I'm up for rolling the dice on Poch again.

Poch doesnt need to be the end goal for this club but we will do a lot of things right with him in charge, club is on it's knees for some stability and some structure and he provides it.

Our defence isnt the problem. It’s our midfield and attack. A scary striker makes a huge difference, let alone a box to box midfielder and a playmaker and some actual decent wingers.
