You seem to think we are arguing. Im just sorting actual bullshit from facts. Sissoko played in one of the clubs biggest games seems odd a fan wouldn't know this. Its not about you. Im not arguing with a man I dont know or care about. That seems to be your thing. Winning the Internet. Deary me.

It was the way you put it... Stalteri scored that last injury time winner at WetSpam, to win 4-3, doesn't matter, he was a poor buy and a poor player for us, and was rightly moved on.

So for me, I don't care what Sissoko did, the same could be said for so many other players, that did that one thing, and almost nothing else.


So I am not an egomaniac, I just don't give a shit what Sissoko did once... He was a shit panic last day panic buy Levy, and his purchase was never and should never be justified.

For me the Sissoko signing perfectly sums up the our paucity of ambition and Levy's complete failure to capitalise on the top class squad and manager that he stumbled into.

We were off the back of a title-charge, in the Champions league, and had the most exciting young squad in the league. It was the perfect time to build on our success, buy some genuine quality, and have a serious stab at the league title.

Liverpool, who finished 8th, signed Mane and Wijnaldum while we got the likes of Nkoudou, Janssen and then spaffed our remaining cash on Sissoko - clearly a last minute desperation buy - presumably because he had decent World Cup after being bang average for Newcastle.

We did sign Wanyama that summer, who was obviously decent, but aside from that it was such a wasted opportunity. And for all the 'we couldn't spend cos of the stadium' rhetoric from Levy, surely winning a fucking title would earn the club a hell of a lot more money and prestige in the long run. Not to mention, all squads need depth and refreshing, or else you end up spending even more down to line to do a complete rebuild (and usually suffer massively as a result). And surprise surpise, that's exactly what happened 3 years later.

Sissoko had some good performances and moments but he was so fucking limited and his effort masked so many obvious deficiencies in his game. The fact we got so deep in the CL with him in our midfield is a minor miracle.

Next year with no AFCON we can probably get away with shedding one CM overall. Otherwise we have very full squad already. Especially for a club that likely won't have european ball. If team gets low on attackers or defenders, can just switch between 3-4-3 and a back-four variant (4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3), as needed, which is pretty much what we are already doing.

I would expect that we'll move on Romero, Richarlison, Bissouma, and maybe Dragusin too. I'd like us to move on Porro but it may have to wait until Summer '27. I like Tel but expect we'll bring in another ST. I can maybe see Phillips being brought in as 5th CB if Dragusin or Romero leave.

Levy did NOT have the final say on financial matter - that was always Lewis. Always.
People like you do not have ability to see anything positive about Levy so you people will always bring just the negative no matter what accuse those with a balanced view of supporting Levy blindly.
I stated very clearly that I did not support many of Levy's decisions, and his recent head-coach & DoF hiring were failure.
But Levy also deserve a lots of credit for some of the work he did.

That summer window was one of the biggest let downs in this clubs history (along with 3 or 4 other transfer windows under Poch)
We absolutely should have went and bought quality and had a real chance at the title.
I was so so sure we would win the league for two years at that time - heartbreaking, thanks Enic.

I'd hazard a guess that he's probably not... he gone from one club where cracking the first team is difficult for academy players... to another club where it's near on impossible.

Nothing will happen to him , it’s just them trying to show that they’re serious about the football club, which no one believes anymore . They think ENIC 2.0 can give them time from a despondent fan base.

The investigation is probably just standard procedure after a major figure is removed plus it’s good optics for the “ new “ owners who have neglected the club for years
