Transfers The Winter Transfer Thread - 25/26

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Really think we need a rip-it-up approach to this transfer window. Bit like in the summer of 2004 when in desperate need of a revamp we signed loads and got quite a few handy players that laid foundations for the future or at the very least reset the awful squad mentality. As manager, Santini I admit struggled but BMJ didn't.

TBH, I don't know if that is possible in January, given player availability and registration rules(?) But like at the end of the 2003/04 season I'm sick of these players and wouldn't be sad to see a single one go... Actually that makes it worse than 2003/04 given we had Keane, Defoe and King.

I agree. But I bet the club don’t and think we have a good squad. There lies the problem.

From what I’ve seen of Frank so far he doesn’t rate many of them hence the constant rotation and trying to find the best fit.

Id keep Kudus, and one of Maddison and or Kulusevski. All the others I'd go with.
Kudus should really be a bench option for the 9th richest club in the world and one whose owners claim they wanna win the PL & CL.

If it's between Deki and Maddison, I'm going with the ginge. Not English, but younger, better/less shit injury record, wiser and more combative. Still, like Kudus he should be a bench option.

Yeah but you know just like me that we are not the 9th richest anything in intention when it comes to football. The Sopranos suffocated Chris (Levy) , and will carry on with business as usual. The poster still coloring with crayons believe them. But we need to buy smart because we won't be getting my long dreamed of Oshimen. Honestly mate : Ederson, Hackney, Ter Stegen loan short term this is the best we could do.

We need a couple of big personalities, leaders on the pitch and in the dressing room.

We need to sack Paratici and Lange and hire an actual good director of football before the next transfer window. They are actually terrible at what they do Juve are still recovering from Paratici.

As well as technical ability and physicality for the league, we need some bastards that will drag the pussies over the line!

Sod the nice guys, bring me some nasty c@nts!

Why is the only alternative the 'best player' haven't you heard of any middle ground?

Just because you exclusively target young, doesn't mean the alternative is world class players, what are we doing here? 😵‍💫
Surely you would rather target younger players who have the potential to take the leap to top class, than sign prime players who will never make it? That’s basically what we did with Solanke. Most of our best ever players in the last 20 years were signed young, in the 18-23 bracket.

What do you mean prime players who will never make it, again that's a massive extreme.

We are perfectly capable of targetting and buying players who are either peaking or in peak now - we bought in 3 the Summer just gone and would have been another if the Forest owner didn't do shenaigans, it's not difficult.

What platform have we given young players to succeed lately? What patience have we shown young players so far, Gray, Tel, Bergvall, Odo all getting partial mins because they're not of the level, it will be the same with Samu, an unfinished, flawed product expecting him to perform miracles.

The managerial situation is not helping anyone look good is it? Are you classing Xavi as peaking now? I’d class him as a young prospect tbh.
