Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I see that Tylor Morton's been repeatedly linked to Spurs over the last few days by various sites (I know it doesn't mean Spurs are interested). Liverpool let him go for just £15m (+20% of a sale) after just 2 games, and even after 2 full seasons of being loaned out (to Blackburn & Hull). no EPL club showed any serious interest in him...
Excerpts from a scouting report (in which he seem to be a world class player already  ) :
He's of a deeper laying playmaker with got a good vision and is a good passer, quietly tenacious and aggressive (though he is still developing his physicality and defensive contributions), combined with tactical awareness, who’s good at reading the game, cutting out opposition attacks. He is primarily a deep-lying playmaker, but his defensive work rate and tactical awareness have earned him praise from managers and analysts.
He exhibits a high defensive work rate, effectively supporting transitions and tracking back to disrupt counter-attacks.
During his loan spells, he consistently produced good numbers in ball recoveries and counter-press recoveries, including in the final third.

What’s he like passing the ball sideways and backwards, that’s our style nowadays

Looks great in this highlight video. Have you ever watched him in a game? any good overall?

What's with all the links to teenage prospects FFS. Do these sadist cunts in charge not fucking see that it might be a fucking good idea to try something else? That we have enough potential?

I've a great idea, we send Odobert out on loan to Germany for 6 months in January, he'll tear it up and bag insane goal/assist stats because apparently they don't really do defending over there and then in the summer we either sell for £65m which seems to be the going rate for any attacker that's done well in the farmers league, or we bring him back with high expectations "like a new signing".

For the love of God whatever we do though, let's not go and spaff another fortune on a player with good stats in Germany, the two league's are not in the least comparable.

So we discard Germany totally? Personally I think Woltemade looks good and our own VDV is half decent

Which leagues are acceptable to buy from? Son played in Germany, Eriksen in the Dutch league, Dele Alli bought from league one, Van de Ven played in Germany..and so on

All I ask is we stop trying to sign promising youngsters for a bit and sign some actual quality players in their prime.

PLEASE/

Lloris
Walker
Alderweirald
Vertonghen
Rose
Dembelé
Wanyama
Eriksen
Alli
Son
Kane

How many of those were prem proven when we signed them? Dembelé and Wanyama …

And Semenyo's legs would fall off during the first training session, but we can't stop trying, can we?

Perhaps you're not aware of the fact we didn't sign Nusa 2 years ago was that he had some deep rooted back problem?

Sure; you keep on pushing along, but (like with Neto) as cursed as Spurs are it's madness to ignore known/existing injury problems.

I'm completely aware of that. It's a long time ago and he's played a lot of football since then. People are getting a little nutty about this injury curse :harrylol:

People seeking some simplistic failsafe scouting strategy based upon fixed criteria like league, size, G&A etc. are chasing their tails.

Prime example: Modric..... Little bloke from a backwater league...... Turned out to be a GOAT.

Scouting needs to dig deeper and concern itself with combined factors/attributes.
