Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He is a quality player. Ok hes 30 but can get 1 or 2 good seasons out of him. If we got mainoo from united or another top young midfielder they could learn from groeztka. I thought he was outstanding against us in pre-season. 2 or 3 levels above tbh.
As has been said in this thread, teams like Bayern & Madrid don’t often sell players unless they’re on the downward slide. We might get a decent season or two out of him, but he’d want a 4 or 5 year deal on big money, and how do you get rid of him once he’s totally past it.

He’s also just another profile of midfielder we already have plenty of in the squad. If we don’t have a midfielder that can the pass the ball identified that’s gettable in January, then Lange should be sacked. Fucking Stevie Wonder can see it’s the biggest issue we have in the squad.

Buying or acquiring Rodrygo does nothing to change that in isolation.

It's nearing the end of December.

I am already close to being disengaged for the 2nd successive year, so dispiriting following this team under Frank has become.

Nobody but nobody tell me Frank should not have us in the top 8 to 10 at this stage. The only bit of that on the owners is the bit that said 'You're hired'

Nobody was moaning too much when we signed Simmons, Muani and Palhinha.

I hear you that Rodrygo can’t make the system and tactics any better.

But look at where we’d be without Kudus doing his one man hold up and chance creation act. If Rodrygo was able to do his thing at PL pace, we’d have twice the amount of “fuck it, I’ll do it myself “ in the team. We’d almost be twice as good.

Hmmmmmmm....

Not sure what you mean or whether you are saying we should go for Rodrygo or not, fanciful notion that it i.

On Kudus, I just don't see a quality player at all. Can take a player on, yes, and has the odd flash which skews the pucture but for me he hinders us more than he helps us, because it's next to never a first time pass, or anything of an intricate nature.

And today Kudus will start because Ftank is biased as opposed to seeing things objectively, and when a new manager comes in Kudus won't survive for too long.

If we can get Rodrgyo, even on loan, we do it without blinking

Kudus makes some bad decisions but his ability to keep hold of any pass, under any level of pressure, then get us up the pitch and fashion a cross, is pretty much the only way we create anything atm.

If we had a similar 1-man-band option on the left, I’m saying we’d be twice as good offensively

Okay, understood- thanks.

I don't rate Kudus who I think takes the wrong decision too often to be a top player. All this he holds up the ball and gets up the field is negated by his final ball.

That he was part of a West Ham side that struggled is becoming more and more obvious to me as the weeks go on.

On Rodrygo, I haven't watched him enough by any stretch to know how good (or not) he may be but like Savinho I think there are obviously reasons why neither gets regular starts.

AVB survived on Bale for a whole year. One player can in extreame circumstances change things although Rodrygo is no where near Bale’s level.

He has days where the decision making is off but he is still one of the top assisters in the PL this season and one of the top dribblers.

Hes definitely one of our solutions not one of our problems imo.

He can improve but still a net positive for me. Fuck west ham

Just 4 more sleeps until the window opens

3 or 4 buys of objective quality, of which one must be a central midfielder and another a striker, and I will be pretty confident that thoughts of relegation get pushed to one side.

If we faff about, and bring in 1 or 2 then I think we will be playing with fire.

What do people Realistically want to happen in January?

Left back. Spence is a right back who covers the left due to Udogie always being injured. Spence is decent defensively but is less effective attacking down the left than the right which hurts us.

CM. A CM with a decent passing range who can transition us in attack quickly

LW: we have Kudus and Muani/Richy for the RW and CF but nobody has yet shown they are good enough for the left wing. .

We don’t need all 3 but 1/2 top draw signings in those positions would go along way to helping us IMO.

I mean I agree with everything you've said but how likely is all that in January?
