Reckon we could tempt Everton into buying Richarlison back, and think he’d be keen to go.

Would love to think that could be the basis of a deal for N’Diaye, but that’s fantasy land stuff.

Might light a rocket up the arse of a few of them.

Not a big fan of Frank and he's had a few car crashes recently in PCs but I'm fully behind him saying this. Big club mentality IMO.

Odobert played the other night like a young guy, understanding he had to prove his place was worth it. Maybe he'd heard a rumour from his agent?
I only want what is right for THFC.
Maybe Frank is the guy.
Currently not liking the football but long term maybe.
Maybe.

Same

I don't see anything from Frank so far to indicate he's right long term or short term but if it works out with him, I'm just as happy as I would be with some big, romantic Poch return and march to trophies.

Frank said really dumb shit about not really being a CL team, this wasn't as dumb IMO

It is. But you can’t base everything on Gyokeres. Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, Ruben Dias, Neves, Enzo Fernandes and Jota have all come from the same league as well.
This is specifically about goal scoring though.

Top 3 scorers by season in the Portuguese league.

24/25
Gyokeres, Pavlidis, Aghehowa
23/24
Gyokeres, Banza, Mujica
22/23
Taremi, Gonçalo Ramos, Joao Mario
21/22
Darwin Nunez, Taremi, Horta
20/21
Pedro Goncalves, Seferovic, Taremi
19/20
Pizzi, Carlos Vinicius (!), Taremi

You have some very expensive players that underwhelmed (Darwin Nunez, Gyokeres) , Carlos Vinicius that we tried and flopped… and some very underwhelming players. And these are the most prolific.

Only exception there would be Gonçalo Ramos who is good but not a €65m player.

There are some quality midfielders and defenders for sure but even the Portuguese National team has had one good #9 in the past 25 years (pretty good one though ;))

These are exactly the sort of players we should be replacing our shirt fillers with.

Yes, Yildiz and Diomande are young, but they’re not the same thing as buying some cheap young punts from Sweden or Burnley or Leeds. They’re already seen as generational talents, playing regularly and excelling in top leagues. If we can get them now, we need to try, cause it’s the only chance we’ll get at them.

You mean like Simmons was (is?).......

If immediate impact is the order of the day; then in the short term they are still very much a "punt" (i.e. they might not move the needle until next season; once they've acclimatized).

They bought him for £20m in the summer from Spain, why didn’t we look at him then I wonder. Now Leipzig want £100m for him. They can ask for whatever they want but we’d be a moron to pay that much whatever his prospects may be like

At the point BVB bought him he'd only played 542 senior minutes.........

Even now his CV is merely on par with the likes of Tel.

This club has to keep taking risks on high ceiling young players.

The Simons one was poor because he seemed like a 3rd option panic signing.

If we get a 1st option, they should be further along.

Notable lack of STs in that list...... Even Jota went to Liverpool via Wolves and didn't start our there as a CF.

If this is your genuine take then fair play, but more broadly; it's all too evident that now the window is on the brink of opening, people are already wavering from their "we need NOW players" mantra (that's been repeated for months now) at the first sign of some sparkly young maybes..... Some can't even get Savinio out of their thoughts despite him being as un-productive as ever.

What does that even mean? ....Based on what?

Xavi's CV pissed on the like of Diamante's.

But Tel isn't getting game time either.

It makes you wonder if Muani is flattering in training or if Frank is otherwise coerced into playing him. But, that being said, it still doesn't justify why Bentancur keeps getting minutes despite his performances being 6's at best

I'd take Muani over Richarlison or Solanke.

He proved against PSG that if he is played in his rightful position he will produce.

A run of game as our main striker and he will cook.
